To protect creation from collapsing into infinite contradiction, Raava, the Spirit of Light and Balance, chose a new Avatar host - Coda - a being not just born of Earth or Spirit, but of Echo. Coda is the first Avatar of the Paradox Cycle, existing across multiple timelines at once.

🔮 Coda's Origin
Coda was born during an eclipse that aligned all four nations and the Spirit portals simultaneously. His birth was accompanied by a phenomenon called The Harmonic Seal, where the symbols of all four elements glowed in the sky, and the voice of Raava echoed:

Unlike previous Avatars, Coda's connection to Raava is both internal and external - she can separate from him into a physical light-form to assist or protect the paradox seals.
Coda's inner counterpart is Yang, the spirit of paradox - born from the imbalance of Korra's merging of worlds. Raava must use Coda's body as the Seal Vessel to bind Yang's unstable cycles.
Thus begins the story of Raava sealing Yang's paradox recycles through Coda, making him the most metaphysically burdened Avatar ever.
