My phone buzzed.
I picked it up lazily expecting nothing important.
It was the Section E group chat.

I stared at it for exactly one second.
Jay's house.
The chat was already exploding —
Cin: ?????? 😵💫
Yuri: WHAT 😭
Felix: bro is this morse code

Calix: I literally have a headache 😂
Eren: someone call a translator
Eman: 💀💀💀
Blaster: I quit
Drew: JAY what ❓
David: I think I see the word "today" somewhere??
Then Jay replied.

I read it immediately...
Kiefer: She said "are you stupid cant even read this"
Cin: OMG 😭
Felix: SHE WAS CURSING US 💀
Yuri: KIEFER HOW DO YOU KNOW 👀

Kiefer: "you are all idiots. gago."
Eman: he translated the curse too 💀💀
Blaster: kiefer you're actually insane 😂
Cin: how long have you been studying her language bro 😭
David: he's been studying 👀👀

I ignored all of them and typed the actual information.
Kiefer: Study session today at Jay's house. Sir Alvin coming. Be there by 10. Section A will also attend.
Cin: FINALLY THANK YOU 😭🙏

Then Jay replied again.

Kiefer: "Kiefer don't translate my curses"
EVERYONE: 😂😂😂😂😂

Felix: JAY CAN ACTUALLY READ THE CHAT 😭😭
Blaster: I AM CRYING 😂
Yuri: this is the best day of my life 😂
I put my phone down on my bed.
And smiled.
Jay's house.
I was up and in the shower before I even consciously decided to move.
I got ready faster than I had ever gotten ready in my entire life — which I would never admit to anyone ever — grabbed my bag and headed downstairs where my brothers Kieran and Kiegan were sitting at the dining table eating breakfast like completely normal people with completely normal Saturday plans.
"You're up early." Kieran said not even looking up from his food.
"Study session." I said grabbing a piece of toast.
"Study session." Kiegan repeated slowly turning to look at me with that annoyingly perceptive expression he always had.
"On a Saturday. You. Voluntarily."
"Is there a problem?"
"At whose house?" Kieran asked.
I said nothing.
Both of them looked at each other.
Both of them started smiling at exactly the same time.
"It is at Angelo's house." I said firmly before either of them could open their mouths. "It is a completely normal study session. Goodbye."
I walked out to the sound of both of them laughing.
I did not look back.
I arrived at Jay's house with the rest of Section E and immediately noticed the Section A boys already
gathered near the entrance
Aries was standing with a group of them talking loudly about something while a few Section A girls — Grace and Mica — were already inside settled near the sofa talking animatedly.
I walked in scanning the room immediately.
Cin was already there talking animatedly to David waving his arms around telling some story that had David genuinely laughing.
Felix and Calix were standing near the wall already arguing about something probably basketball.
Blaster Eman and Eren were huddled together near the entrance looking around the house impressed.
Then, freya was talking Probably arguing with girls and ella was with aries obviously but I wasn't searching for them.
I am searching for my Mrs. Watson, my life, my wife and my everything.
Yuri came rushing down the stairs looking half ready still fixing his hair.
My eyes kept moving.
Searching.
And then I found her.
My jay she came from kitchen and suddenly grace and mica saw jay jay and hugged her and she hugged ththingsk and pulled back.
But when I saw her I stopped breathing for approximately three full seconds.
She was wearing a fitted colorful bustier top that showed her collarbones and her cleavage and a little breast part🤤 and also she was wearing very short and tight fitted shorts looking very sexy and hot 🥵😫to be irresistible 😮💨and her long white legs were clearly visible in her short dark purple denim shorts and she looked —
Stop.

You are a completely normal functioning human being who is absolutely not affected by any of this.
I was none of those things.
Then, she started looking here and there and then our eyes met😳
for exactly one second before
she looked away again completely unbothered like she hadn't just made every single rational thought in my brain completely evaporate.
Damn you Jay. I thought still staring at her. You don't know what you are doing to me.
You are completely and utterly oblivious of how much attention you are grabbing just by wearing some shorts and a top.
She had absolutely no idea.
That somehow made everything so much worse.
I was still trying to pull myself together ,
when I noticed something that made that warm flustered feeling instantly transform into something much hotter and much uglier.
Every single person in the room was staring at Jay, my jay. 😡
Section E boys. Section A boys. Even some of the girls.
All of them. Eyes fixed on my Jay. On her legs. On her —breast.
Dammit it's mine ,it belongs to me,everything about her belongs to me,I mean she is mine you jerks.
I just want to poke their eyes out for staring at my wife.
felt something cold and sharp rise up in my chest.
I let my eyes move slowly and deliberately around the entire room and then said very casually very quietly —
"Interesting how everyone suddenly forgot they have their own notes to look at."🤬
The temperature in the room dropped instantly.
Every single person suddenly found the floor the wall their notebooks their phones extraordinarily fascinating.
Heads dropped. Eyes moved away immediately.
Someone coughed nervously.
Two Section A boys nearly knocked their heads together trying to look down so fast.
Jay looked up confused. "What?"
"Nothing." I said calmly.
She squinted at me suspiciously then looked around at everyone suddenly staring at everything except her and her confused expression deepened.
She had absolutely no idea.
Good.
Angelo appeared at the top of the stairs and came down looking at everyone gathered.
"Okay everyone Sir Alvin is on his way! Classes will be held in the garden area since there is more space so everyone start heading out there!"
Everyone started moving.
Angelo then turned to Jay and his eyes moved over her outfit once.
Up. Down. That classic older brother judging expression 😕crossed his face instantly.
"Jay." He said carefully. "Why are you dressed like that?""Like what?",kuya .
Jay said immediately defensive crossing her arms.
"Like—" Angelo gestured vaguely at her entire outfit struggling to find the right words.
"It's hot." Jay said flatly. "And comfortable."
Jay you really can't wear that in front of all these—"
"Kuya." Aries appeared from behind cutting in smoothly.
"Let her wear what she wants, if she is comfortable .
Angelo opened his mouth.
And closed his mouth made a sound somewhere between a sigh and a defeated groan .😮💨
and turned back to directing people towards the garden muttering something under his breath.
I stood there saying absolutely nothing the entire time.
Internally I was having a very strong and very specific opinion about Angelo's suggestion that Jay change her clothes.
She is absolutely not changing her clothes.
Not that I was going to say that out loud.
Ever.
Classes started and Sir Alvin was explaining clearly and efficiently while everyone settled into their spots in the garden.
I chose my spot carefully.
A place where I could see Sir Alvin.
And Jay.
Not that the second part mattered.
Cin had immediately planted himself right next to Jay the moment they sat down and the two of them had already started their little note ✍️passing system within the first ten minutes of class.
Jay would read one and press her lips together fighting a smile. 🤭
Cin would watch her reaction with that extremely satisfied expression he always had when he made her laugh.
From beside me Yuri was staring at Cin and Jay with the focus of someone trying to move objects with their mind.
"Eyes on Sir Alvin." I told him quietly."You first." 😒
He shot back without looking at me.
Then David turned around from his spot and said something quietly to Jay and Jay nodded and the three of them — Jay David and Cin — huddled together briefly pointing at something on Jay's notes laughing quietly amongst themselves.🤣🤣😅
Yuri made a very specific sound beside me.
I made the same sound internally.
I forced my eyes back to Sir Alvin.
Felix nudged Calix and pointed at something in his notes.
Calix shook his head disagreeing.
The two of them started having a very heated silent argument through expressions and hand gestures while Sir Alvin continued explaining completely unaware.
Blaster was actually paying attention surprisingly.
Eman had fallen asleep sitting up with his eyes technically open which was impressive. 😴
Eren was drawing something in the corner of his notebook that definitely was not notes.
Everything was normal.
Everything was fine.
And then I noticed Daniel.
Section A. Sitting three rows diagonally from Jay.
He hadn't opened his notes once since class started.
His eyes were fixed on Jay who was laughing quietly at something Cin had just whispered to her covering her mouth with her hand her whole face lit up with that laugh she had — the real one that she only gave to people she was completely comfortable with.
And Daniel was watching her.
Not her face.
Not her laugh.
Lower.
Damn it that son of a bitch.😡
Was staring at her breast. 👿☠️💀
Something hot and dangerous started burning very slowly in my chest.
I looked directly at Daniel.
He felt my eyes and glanced over at me.
I held his gaze completely still completely calm.
He looked away.
Good.
Then two minutes later — like I hadn't just stared him down — his eyes drifted right back to Jay again.
My jaw tightened so hard it hurt.👹😡
Jay leaned over and whispered something to Cin and Cin's eyes went wide
and he started shaking with silent laughter and Jay laughed too that bright completely unguarded laugh
and she had absolutely no idea — not even the slightest clue — of the disgusting way Daniel was looking at her right now.
Control yourself Kiefer.
Control.
I changed . I changed for my jay I have to keep my cool😤😑 or my jay will think I didn't change.
No I took psychiatrist checkup just for her not to hurt her ever again the way I did once when I saw David kiss her lips which only belong to me.
Sir Alvin announced a fifteen minute break and immediately the garden erupted into noise and movement.
Cin grabbed Jay's arm dramatically the moment Sir Alvin finished his sentence. "FINALLY. I am STARVING."
"You ate before coming here Cin." Jay said.
"That was HOURS ago."
"It was literally forty five minutes ago."
"HOURS Jay. HOURS." Cin repeated with complete and absolute conviction.
Jay shook her head but she was smiling and the two of them headed towards the snack table that had been set up near the garden entrance.
David followed saying something to Jay who nodded.
Grace and Mica immediately pulled Yuri into their conversation near the snacks.
Felix and Calix resumed their earlier argument now out loud and considerably louder.
And others also started having snacks.
I stayed where I was.
Watching.
Jay grabbed a drink from the snack table and said something to Cin who immediately launched into another dramatic story about something.
Jay listened nodding occasionally and then suddenly shook her head and turned to head back inside towards the kitchen.
"I'll come—" Cin started moving.
"I'll be back in two minutes Cin." Jay said already walking. "Stay."
"I'm not a dog Jay—"
But she was already heading inside through the garden door.
Cin watched her go.
Then looked back at the snack table.
Then at the door.
Then at the snack table again.
The snack table won.🤐
I watched the kitchen door for exactly two minutes.
Jay did not come back.
I put my drink down and stood up.
"Where are you going?" Yuri appeared beside me immediately.
"Kitchen."
Yuri looked pointedly at the completely untouched drink in my hand.
I put it down and walked towards the kitchen door without another word.
Behind me I heard Yuri make that very specific sound.
I ignored it.🙄
