I found Charlie a few hundred feet into the woods beyond the training grounds. He was standing shirtless and barefoot with his arms crossed, waiting. I cleared my throat as I approached and he turned to me with easy, warm eyes.
His gaze swept over me briefly from head to toe, clearly not expecting to find me in a sundress. I shuffled slightly at the awkwardness of it and he just chuckled in response.
"You ready?" he asked.
Cel was already bristling with excitement, fully aware she was about to be let loose. I nodded. "She is ready."
He smiled. "If she gets out of control, I will notice straight away. Do not worry. My wolf is a good leader."
I did not doubt that. Cel just was not known for listening to anyone she did not feel like listening to.
"I will turn around while you shift," he added. "If Phoenix ever found out I had seen you without clothes, I would not live to see another day." He laughed and turned his back.
