The night felt strangely quiet.
A soft breeze drifted through the window, and the distant city lights blurred into something unfamiliar… almost unsettling.
Roshni sat on her bed, but her mind was somewhere else—stuck on a face she couldn't forget.
Rayan.
His eyes… deep, cold… yet strangely calm.
"Who is he?" the question kept echoing in her mind.
Just then, her phone vibrated softly.
A message appeared on the screen—
"Stay away from him… He is dangerous."
Her heart skipped a beat.
"Is it about him?" she whispered to herself.
The next afternoon, on her way back from college, the sky looked dull and grey.
The road was unusually empty, and the wind carried a strange chill.
Suddenly—
a black car stopped right in front of her.
Roshni froze.
The car door slowly opened…
and Rayan stepped out.
Dressed in black, his steady gaze locked onto hers.
He looked like he belonged to the darkness itself.
"You?" Roshni said, surprised.
Rayan walked toward her slowly.
"I told you to avoid me, didn't I?" his voice was calm, but there was concern hidden in it.
"Why? Who are you?" she asked, this time more directly.
Silence fell between them.
Then Rayan spoke—
"I'm someone you should stay away from… if you want to be safe."
For some reason, his words made her chest tighten.
"Then why do you keep coming to me?" she asked softly.
Rayan paused.
For a second, something vulnerable flickered in his eyes.
"Because I don't want anything to happen to you…" he said quietly.
Roshni looked at him, surprised.
This man—who called himself dangerous—was trying to protect her.
A cold breeze passed by, and she shivered slightly.
Rayan noticed. Without hesitation, he took off his jacket and gently placed it over her shoulders.
"You didn't have to…" Roshni said, though her voice lacked firmness.
Rayan gave a faint smile.
"I know… but I wanted to."
Her heart skipped again.
There was a brief silence.
"Everyone says you're dangerous," Roshni said softly.
"Maybe I am," Rayan replied calmly.
"But…" she looked into his eyes,
"You don't feel like that to me."
Rayan seemed slightly taken aback.
"Then what do I feel like?"
Roshni hesitated, then said—
"It feels like… you hide yourself more than you harm others."
Her words left him speechless.
Something shifted in his eyes.
Slowly, he extended his hand toward her—
"Come with me… I promise, nothing will happen to you."
Roshni stared at his hand.
There was fear… but there was also something else.
Trust.
After a moment—
she slowly placed her hand in his.
Their fingers intertwined.
And in that moment—
Roshni realized…
Not every danger is meant to destroy you…
Some dangers feel like the safest place you've ever known 💙
