Jade saw that look from his brother and knew that things were about to go bad if he didn't ease the situation. He walked over to his older brother, patted his shoulder, and whispered into his ear.
"Bro, calm down. She doesn't know your relationship with Tara, so don't make things worse since she's also her best friend," Jade said, hoping to salvage the situation.
"It's not how I view you, Mr. Woods, but what you are," Kalon replied calmly without flinching.
"Oh?" Cain said coldly, his gaze turning icy.
Jade sensed that things were going downhill and needed to ease the atmosphere.
"Okay, guys, let's cut it out. She's fine, and that's all that matters. Kalon, we really are not a threat—"
Before he could finish, Kalon interrupted.
"Then what are you, and why do you keep going after Tara?"
