"Raven, hurry up, the guys are waiting for us" Ivory shouted, frustration creeping up her voice
"I'm coming" I said as I walked towards her wearing a black jumpsuit, Glancing at her sitting on a sleek blue sports bike
"Fine" Ivory said as she glanced at me when I reached her side
I climbed onto my own black super bike as the engine roared to life beneath me
"Up for a race" ivory asked with a smirk as she revved her engine up
We glanced at each other with a grin as our bikes tires down the road with a loud roar, disappearing into the darkness of the night.
As we raced on the cold streets of Los Angeles, I glanced at Ivory
"Ivy, you still haven't told me the place the organisation posted us to" I said with a grin
"They said it's a warehouse on the outskirts of outskirts of Los Angeles, I think" Ivory said with a shrug of her shoulders as she shot forward,
Silence immediately descended on us as we cruised through the dark alleys of Los Angeles
"How's you and Logan relationship going" Ivory asked, a touch too nosy
I glanced at her with raised brows
"Why are you asking" I asked as we drove side by side
Ivory froze up but quickly reverted to normal
"Oh well, no reason..., it's just that I haven't been seeing you guys together lately" Ivory said as she gazed forward
My eyes lingered on her, cold and calculating, then I glanced away
"Our relationship is going nice, he's just been busy lately with the organisation, so he's not been around" I said with a soft smile on my face
Ivory glanced at me as Disgust flashed past her eyes, too quickly for me to catch it.
"Oh, okay" Ivory said, letting boredom leak through her words.
I glanced at her and sighed, acting oblivious
Another tense silence silence stretched, thick and suffocating, until I cut through it
"What's the mission this time" I asked
"Huh?..., are you talking to me" Ivory said as her head snapped towards me
"What were you thinking that's got you so lost" I asked with a smirk on my face
Immediately a shadow of guilt flashed past her eyes, too fast to hold, but too loud to miss
I glanced at her with raised brows, upon seeing my gaze on her, Ivory turned her face away
"Stop asking questions that doesn't concern you" Ivory snapped with a steely tone
"Chill, I didn't know that was a tender topic for you" I said with frustration creeping up my tone
Ivory sighed, "sorry, I didn't mean it like that, that was just too much a sensitive topic for me" Ivory said with an apologetic tone
"It's okay" I said coldly as I zoomed off as Ivory struggled to catch up to me
After a while
"Raven" Ivory called from behind me
I ignored her as I continued cruising through the streets
"Raven, stop it, you're going too fast" Ivory shouted with concern dripping from her words
I sighed as I came to a stop on a clearing
I dismounted, boots hitting the ground with a soft crunch
I walked forward as Ivory also came to a stop besides my super bike
I glanced around at the empty and abandoned clearing
Out here, the city felt like another world different from the bustling streets of Los Angeles
'We've already come this far and I didn't even realize ' I thought as I came to a stop
"Raven" Ivory called as she dismounted, cutting through my thoughts like a sharp blade
"What is it" I asked facing away from her
Ivory sighed as she walked towards me and came to a stop some metres away
"Why are you still angry, didn't I already apologize to you that I didn't mean it" Ivory said angrily
I glanced at her with raised brows and looked away
Another heavy silence stretched, broken by Ivory's soft sigh
"Sorry okay, it's just that I was thinking about something sensitive, so when you asked, I just snapped" Ivory said in an apologetic tone
"It's okay, I understand" I said softly
"Really" Ivory exclaimed with a smile on her face
"Yes" I said with a smile on my face with my back still facing her as I Glanced at her from the corner of my eyes
"Now can you answer a question of mine" I asked
"Sure, anything" ivory said enthusiastically
"Can you tell me what mission the organisation asked us to do" I asked with tilted head
The smile on ivory's face froze, I looked at her with suspicion in my eyes
"What's the problem, can't you say it" I asked again with a fake smile on my face
Ivory recovers quickly as a strange smile blossomed on her face
"Nah, it's nothing that can't be shared, after all you're one of the top agents in the organisation" Ivory said, enviously
"Ok then spit it out" I said casually, acting oblivious to the envy dripping from her tone as I faced forward
