Hearing Summer Thorne's question, Laura Thorne's expression was initially one of confusion and bewilderment. The next moment, however, it morphed into shock and alarm.
"What do you mean by that question?" Laura Thorne asked. "Don't tell me you suspect... that Mr. Shaw would do something to your father?"
Her reaction was very convincing. At least from Summer Thorne's perspective, she couldn't see a single flaw in it.
Admittedly, she didn't know Laura Thorne well. But judging from Austin Sutton's attitude toward her, Laura didn't seem like the type of person who could do such a thing.
That left Summer Thorne to suspect the people around her.
It was all just too much of a coincidence.
The woman who had once told Austin Sutton she would never return to Valois had suddenly come back. She'd then run into him by pure chance, and not long after she saw him, he died.
