Elliot Quinn was visibly stunned by the suggestion. Her gaze flickered between Yara Keats and Timothy York before she managed a smile. "I'm not sure that would be appropriate."
"Why not?" Yara Keats countered. "His house is huge, with two guest rooms just sitting empty. Staying in a hotel all the time is no fun. You should move in. It'd be a good way for you two to get to know each other."
Every word from Yara Keats was steering the conversation toward the inevitable conclusion of marriage. Despite her usual poise, Elliot Quinn found herself flustered. She let out a soft laugh. "Oh, stop with the nonsense... The hotel is perfectly fine for me. If you want to see me, you can visit anytime."
"But it's not as convenient as living together," Yara Keats said, turning to Timothy York. "Right, brother?"
The word "brother" made Timothy York's gaze lock onto her, his expression turning distant and stunned.
It was the first time Yara Keats had called him "brother" since they'd reunited.
