For a moment, Summer Thorne couldn't help but wonder if she was hallucinating from exhaustion.
When she snapped back to reality and realized the person was real, she instantly spun around, shut the door, and strode over to Timothy York.
"What are you doing here?" Summer Thorne asked, struggling to keep her voice down. "Didn't you just take Simon Keats home?"
Timothy York had been flipping through a book on her nightstand. At her words, he slowly lifted his gaze to hers. Just as he was about to speak, Summer Thorne clapped a hand over his mouth.
She did it simply because she could tell from his expression that he was about to speak at a normal volume. While Louis Sutton might not hear him, what if he did? If he heard them and found them, wouldn't that make this strange evening even stranger?
The two of them remained in a face-to-face standoff for a moment before Timothy York finally reached out and pulled her into his arms.
