Hearing Timothy York's question, Summer Thorne was stunned for a moment before she realized what he meant.
He was blaming himself for Yara Keats's current state.
Summer was silent for a moment, then suddenly reached out and cupped his face with her hands.
"First of all, what she's going through right now isn't your fault. I've told you before, she never held a shred of resentment toward you over the years, so you didn't make any wrong choices—that's true from her perspective, and it's even truer from mine."
Timothy York listened, but his expression didn't change in the slightest. He just continued to watch Summer Thorne quietly.
"Of course, it's a bit of a shame that we can't be as close as we used to be," Summer said softly. "But in this world, love and affection exist in countless different forms. Some relationships don't need an everlasting commitment. Just knowing the other person is safe and happy is the greatest joy of all. Do you understand?"
