Zoe Monroe looked at the drunk Liam Wentworth and took a deep breath. "Liam, I'm Joyce Monroe's sister, Zoe Monroe!"
Liam Wentworth squinted, scrutinizing her for a few moments.
"Liar. You don't look a thing like Joyce. No way you're her sister."
"..."
Jonathan Thorne had already taken off his jacket. He righted the overturned bottle on the table and gestured for Zoe Monroe to come inside. "He recently signed divorce papers with his wife, so he's in a bad mood. I guess he came here looking for a drink."
He didn't keep any alcohol at his place, so Liam Wentworth had even brought his own.
"I'll call your assistant to come pick you up," Jonathan Thorne said to Liam Wentworth, feeling a headache coming on.
"I'm not going back!" Liam adamantly refused.
"Jonathan, you have no idea. After Sheila left... the house is so big, so empty, so lonely when I'm all alone..."
