It was the weekend, so the office building was somewhat empty and quiet.
Stella Sterling trailed behind Roman Rhodes as they stepped out of the elevator on the 27th floor.
The office area was mostly deserted, save for a few middle-aged managers holding folders and chatting idly in a small group.
When they saw Roman Rhodes, they all started walking over.
"Mr. Rhodes, good afternoon."
"Mr. Rhodes, this document requires your signature for authorization."
Roman Rhodes raised his arm to signal for them to wait, then turned to look at Stella. "Go to my office and wait for me first."
Stella nodded and ducked into the CEO's office in a flash.
The executives stole furtive glances, utterly surprised.
First, they were astonished that Mr. Rhodes had brought a woman to the company.
Second, they were stunned by the young woman's appearance; she was exceptionally beautiful and captivating.
