"Seraphina Quinn, are you aware that it's easy for a woman to fall in love with a man out of gratitude?"
He paused, then added pointedly, "Back then, you ignored your family's objections and were dead set on marrying me because you were more moved by gratitude than by love at first sight."
Seraphina Quinn frowned.
The reason she had married Damian Fairchild back then was, indeed, partly because she had nearly been assaulted by hooligans, and it was Damian who had stepped forward to save her.
At the time, Damian had been beaten black and blue by the hooligans for saving her, his white shirt soaked through with blood.
