Cian's situation had to be brought into the open. So, facing Damian Fairchild's questions, Seraphina Quinn didn't try to conceal anything.
She said, "It was his assistant who called."
Damian Fairchild's face grew cold, and he said nothing.
Seraphina Quinn continued,
"The doctor said he's in very poor condition. If he doesn't wake up soon, he might not make it."
She paused. "Commander York also called earlier to pressure me. So, I'm flying to Veldtmar tonight."
Damian Fairchild asked, "What about our son? He just arrived, and you're leaving already?"
Seraphina Quinn pressed her lips together. "I'll be back as soon as possible." She paused. "You said you would come with me. If you're worried our son will get the wrong idea, we could bring him along. We'll just say we're taking him on a vacation to Veldtmar."
Damian Fairchild said nothing.
