Annelise Valentine rubbed her nose, shrugged, and walked briskly toward the bathroom to wash up.
The aroma bubbling from the pot was too tempting. She washed up quickly, changed into some comfortable loungewear, and by the time she came back out, Jett Westgate had already set out the bowls and chopsticks at her seat.
He placed a bowl of mixed sesame paste in front of her.
Annelise Valentine glanced at the bowl of sesame paste, hesitated, and then finally spoke. "Do you have a garlic and sesame oil dipping sauce? I'm... not really used to sesame paste."
She always preferred a garlic and sesame oil dipping sauce with her hot pot, finding it light and better at accentuating the natural flavor of the food.
Sesame paste was a bit too heavy and cloying for her taste.
"With a charcoal hot pot, sesame paste is the authentic way to go. It tastes best."
"I forgot to prepare an oil-based one. If you want it, I'll make it for you next time."
