For the last month, Evelyn Grant didn't schedule any work.
As it happened, Henry Sterling had just returned from Corvin, and Preston Keaton took her to Henry's house for dinner.
Rick was as enthusiastic as ever. Evelyn Grant bent down to pat his head, and Preston Keaton took her by the hand, leading her into the villa.
Since getting engaged, Henry Sterling had been on top of the world. He grinned, his voice lazy and triumphant. "Brother-in-law."
Preston Keaton's brow furrowed deeply. He replied in a cold, disdainful voice, "You and Sophie Sullivan aren't married yet."
"It's just a matter of time."
Henry Sterling raised an eyebrow. "You should get used to it, brother-in-law."
His friend was becoming his brother-in-law, and he even had to be called that. Evelyn Grant stifled a laugh and glanced up at Preston Keaton.
He seemed genuinely annoyed, his expression turning quite unfriendly.
