The next day...
The night had become old and was approaching its end. However, it still had some left left until the sun rose and illuminated the city. The moon hung just above the horizon, reflecting sunlight off its rocky surface as an unnoticeable, miniscule shadow moved across its face.
However – within the walls of a certain home in a certain neighborhood – in the bedroom of a modest home, two individuals slept. They were huddled together in their pajamas, arms crossing over each other as they slept soundly.
Suddenly, the man groaned, opening his hazel eyes slowly. He saw his fiancé sleeping soundly, her silky white skin and ocean blue hair glistening in the moonlight. A soft smirk made its up to his face before he let her go and pushed himself up.
The woman, too, was awoken by her fiancé's movements and lazily tired to hug him again.
"Wake up, baby." The man stated, grabbing her hand.
The woman groaned.
"Henry…"
She then rolled over onto her back before slowly opening her eyes, revealing a pair of bright blue pupils.
Henry smiled softy and whistled.
"Good morning, Eira."
Eira rubbed her eyes before glancing at Henry. Her eyes narrowed in a tired manner before she sighed and pushed herself up.
Silently gazing towards the window, she stared at the neighborhood blankly for a few seconds. Then, she rotated her head towards Henry who had already stood up and was heading for the bathroom.
"What time is it…?" Eira yawned.
"Don't know." Henry closed the bathroom door.
Eira pouted slightly before standing up as well. Stretching her arms, she shook her body awake with light movements. Then, she walked around the bed and turned on the light. Instantly, the room was illuminated with a bright, artificial radiance that made Eira squinch her eyes.
Turning away from the bulb, she sat down on the side of the bed which was apposite of the bathroom door. After a few minutes, Henry exited – steaming hot – with a towel hung over his head and new clothes wrapped around his body.
"Your turn." Henry snapped his finger and pointed behind himself.
"Okay!" Eira passed her fiancé and rushed into the bathroom.
Henry sighed, rubbing the towel on his head. Taking a deep breath, he picked up his watch from the bedside cabinet and snapped his around his left wrist. Then, he raised his hand and tried to check the time.
However, his vision blurred as soon as the watch neared his eyes.
"Oh."
Henry blurted, covering his eyes in a bit of shame. He then snatched a pair of glasses from the cabinet as well and rested them on his face. Now, his vision suddenly became clearer. Then, he spun around and exited the bedroom without waiting for his fiancé.
In progress...
