Chapter 100 - Time Reversal

"Aaaaah!"

Tears kept streaming from Garou's eyes as he stumbled away into the distance.

"Hey! Where are you going? The kid is over there!"

Saitama looked on with confusion at Garou, who was desperately fleeing in the opposite direction.

"It's all my fault! It's all because I was near him!"

Thud!

Garou's running figure tripped over a stone. He collapsed on the ground, face covered in tears, unable to stand up again.

At this moment, a wave of immense guilt swept through Garou's heart. If he hadn't been so stubborn about pursuing ultimate evil, Tareo wouldn't have met such a tragic death.

"I wanted to change the world, yet the person I wanted to save most died because of me..."

Garou blamed himself hoarsely.

"Saving him? Weren't you actually relying on him?" Saitama asked.

"What did you say? I relied on him?" Garou was confused.

"Just like me, great power has caused me to lose my emotions bit by bit, but there's always someone I can rely on." Saitama's gaze shifted toward Genos in the distance.

King remained silent. If it came to reliance, ever since he transmigrated into this world, the only thing he could rely on was that stingy system.

"What do you plan to do next?" Saitama asked.

"I... I have a request. You, come along too."

Garou turned to look at King.

Although King didn't know what he wanted, he walked over anyway.

"Even though I stole Divine Power, I still haven't been able to achieve the ultimate secret technique of my ideal martial arts. Now I will pass it on to you. Perhaps you can copy my techniques and reach even greater heights." Garou said with a serious expression.

He was well aware of Saitama's strength. As for King, not only did he possess terrifying growth attributes that were in no way inferior to his own, but he could also instantly copy others' moves. Most importantly, King himself also possessed Divine Power.

"Uh... I'm not interested at all." Saitama gave a bored look, but Garou didn't care at all.

"I'm starting. Focus. If you want to comprehend Divine Power through God's hand..."

Garou's hands circled in front of his chest as a massive amount of Divine Power gathered within his chest cavity.

Saitama and King followed his lead, trying to sense it. Since King already possessed Divine Power, he quickly sensed the universe within himself.

"Shut up! You coward, I am taking back your power!" Suddenly, an angry voice rang out.

King could clearly sense the Divine Power within Garou rapidly draining away.

"Watch closely!"

Hum!

At the final moment as the Divine Power drained away, a strange fluctuation erupted from within the three of them.

"This is?!"

King was shocked to find the scene before him receding frantically, with countless past events flashing before his eyes.

Jupiter, Meteor Strike, Blast, Monsterization Second Stage...

The final image froze on the Ghost Town of Z-City. The heroes, who were supposed to be dead or injured, were standing there perfectly fine, watching with shocked expressions as Garou was sent flying by King's punch.

"Is that... the Hero Hunter?!"

"Garou?!"

Bang looked at the monsterized Garou in shock, seemingly unable to believe his eyes.

"Damn it, what's happening? My power is starting to dissipate!"

Garou felt the energy frantically draining from his body in confusion.

At this moment, Saitama had returned to his previous state of just watching the show.

"Strange, why am I here? Are those two done fighting?" Saitama scratched his head, looking puzzled at King and the fallen Garou.

'Did everyone lose their memories of what happened? Only I...'

King was still in his second-stage Monsterization form. Whether it was due to the Divine Power or the system's intervention, he was the only one present who retained his full memory.

'Thank goodness, Fourth Layer Liberation is still there.' King checked the system panel and breathed a sigh of relief.

His biggest fear was that after the time reversal, all the progress he had made would be reset.

"You bastard Monster Hunter, die!"

"You beat me so badly back then! I won't forgive you!"

A group of Tanktop Master's subordinates began ganging up on Garou.

At that moment, Metal Bat stepped forward.

"That's enough. Don't create any more casualties."

"You've seen how much trouble that guy caused, right? So many people were hurt because of him. Everyone agrees he should be executed." Sweet Mask placed a hand on Metal Bat's shoulder.

He had always stuck to his belief that all evil must be executed immediately.

"It looks like this guy is letting himself get hit on purpose."

Saitama looked at Garou with some confusion, but he didn't intend to intervene. After all, given the strength of Garou's body, these punches and kicks weren't even as bothersome as an itch.

"Pfft!"

To everyone's surprise, Garou spat out a mouthful of blood, as if his life was reaching its limit.

"Wait a moment, I have something to ask him!"

Zombieman stepped out from the crowd, and the others finally stopped their assault.

"Garou, that power from before didn't belong to you, did it? Were you being controlled? By... God, or something?"

"God? I think Blast mentioned that before."

Flashy Flash recalled.

"Hahaha! You bunch of idiots, there's no such thing as God! Everything was done of my own will!"

"Come on, aren't you heroes? Come and kill me!"

Garou laughed towards the sky, looking completely delirious.

"Since it's his own wish, then let me carry out the execution." Sweet Mask revealed a smile, preparing to kill Garou once and for all.

"Wait!"

At that moment, Tareo rushed out and clung tightly to his leg.

"Aren't you heroes? Why are you bullying him? Mister saved me so many times, he's a true hero!"

"Mister, run away!"

Tareo tried to persuade everyone while crying.

"You've been blinded by a monster. Now, as heroes, we must fulfill our duty."

Sweet Mask forced a smile and then prepared to continue with Garou's execution.

Bang!

Just then, a bone tail lashed out, sending Sweet Mask flying.

"What?! It's another monster!"

The other heroes were pale with shock. After all, they had seen King's combat power with their own eyes. His strength was definitely not below that of an S-Class Hero.

"You have no right to deal with him. This matter should be left to Bang." King appeared on the battlefield and winked at Bang.

"Who exactly are you?"

Bang felt that King looked very familiar, as if he were someone he had known before.

Saitama stepped forward. "That's right, you can't be allowed to give up on yourself here. If you've caused harm to others, you must atone for it by helping people ten or a hundred times over. This guy saved a helicopter and hostages earlier, and he even killed that giant centipede. He's definitely not a bad person."

Garou let out a faint smile. "You guys... are such a bunch of meddlers."

Garou's gaze swept over Bang and Saitama before taking one last deep look at King, and then his figure vanished.

"Damn it! He actually escaped!"

Sweet Mask regained his senses, his gaze shifting toward King in the center of the field.

"Since he escaped, I'll execute you first!"
