"Who are you?"
A building towering into the clouds stood deep within the mountains.
King couldn't help but marvel at the Church's impressive architectural skill.
"Impudent! This Divine Emissary has arrived, and you have yet to welcome me!"
A massive surge of Divine Power erupted from King's body. The gathered believers of the Church were shocked, though hesitation still lingered on their faces.
'This Church certainly knows how to pick a location.'
At first, King didn't understand why the cathedral was built in these deep mountains. After all, in the Dragon Domain, the Church's stronghold was right in the Dimensional City.
Firstly, it made governing the various races easier, and secondly, the city's living environment was beautiful.
However, the Church strongholds King had learned about from the Brave Association were mostly far from cities, and some were in very secluded locations. No wonder he hadn't been able to find them.
But when he felt waves of energy coming from beneath the cathedral, he knew there must be secrets hidden here that he was unaware of.
"Greetings, Lord Divine Emissary."
Feeling the immense Divine Power, the Church members knelt on the ground one after another.
Regardless of whether King was a real Divine Emissary, someone with such strength was definitely not someone they could afford to offend.
"A bunch of useless trash! Are you blind? Assemble all members immediately." King's expression was grim as he lashed out at them.
"Who is it? How dare you speak so arrogantly here!"
A figure slowly descended from the air, and the other Church members suddenly breathed a sigh of relief.
Irene was a senior God's agent of the Church. Having undergone several baptisms, her strength was soon to reach the level of a Divine Emissary.
"Why do you not kneel before the Divine Emissary?" King felt a bit surprised.
It was normal for a cathedral to have a God's agent, but the Divine Power radiating from her body was a bit too strong—she was almost comparable to Aura in the Dimensional City.
"What a joke. I have seen the Church's Divine Emissaries, and I have never seen one like you. How bold of you to dare impersonate a Divine Emissary." Irene sneered.
She only needed one more baptism of Divine Power to become a Divine Emissary, so she was not afraid of King at all.
The other Church members stood up one after another. With Irene backing them, if King was indeed a fake, they would make sure he didn't leave alive today.
Void Boundary!
A massive wave of void power descended, isolating everything within dozens of miles of the cathedral from the outside world.
"This power is...?!"
Irene's expression turned grave. She only now realized that King's strength far exceeded her expectations. A barrier like this could only be released by someone at the Divine Emissary level.
Could he really be...?
Irene's expression shifted constantly, she no longer dared to jump to conclusions.
"I have come by the command of God. I did not expect you to be so ungrateful."
A terrifying aura erupted from King's body, and looks of horror appeared in the eyes of the Church members.
"Wait. You say you are a Divine Emissary, but do you have proof?" Irene's expression was solemn.
After feeling King's aura, her tone was no longer so aggressive.
"Do you recognize this?"
King had a look of utter disdain, but Irene could only endure it in silence.
A mysterious cube suddenly emerged in King's hand, and a massive amount of Divine Power radiated outward.
"God's servant, Irene, greets Lord Divine Emissary." Irene was pale with shock.
The mysterious cube was a communicator that allowed one to communicate with God, and only powerhouses at the Divine Emissary level or higher could possess one.
With that, King's identity was clear.
The Church members immediately knelt down in a panic.
"Useless trash, get up. Assemble all personnel, God has instructions to deliver." Kimg said.
"Yes! Please be magnanimous and forgive my previous rudeness." Irene's face was full of reverence.
Even if she was only one step away, she was not a Divine Emissary yet. A single rank's difference was huge. If King intentionally made things difficult for her, she would likely find it hard to hold her head up in the Church in the future.
"Have everyone come and assemble immediately."
Under Irene's command, several believers hurried out. They could all see that King's temper was not very good.
'Tsk tsk. This barrier combined with the mysterious cube... even if a real Divine Emissary arrived, they wouldn't be able to tell the difference.' King was gloating inwardly.
In fact, he was using 101's mysterious cube, but these fools in the Church couldn't tell the difference at all.
Because he was afraid of attracting the attention of the Lord of Sky Domain and the God of the 10th Galaxy, King had specifically summoned the barrier first to completely isolate the area from the outside world.
"May I ask, what instructions does God have?" Irene's expression was slightly nervous.
After all, she was used to ruling here. The sudden arrival of a Divine Emissary carrying a divine decree made her extremely apprehensive.
"We will talk once everyone has arrived. How have things been here lately?" King asked cryptically.
He knew the Church must be involved in things he didn't know about.
"Please rest assured. The development of the Energy Mineral Vein is already halfway complete, and the rest is being excavated with full effort."
Irene suddenly realized something. This Divine Emissary wouldn't ask such a question for no reason.
"This is something I have specially prepared for you. Please accept it."
Irene gritted her teeth inwardly, feeling a bit of pain as she pulled out a storage bag.
"Hmm? This is...?!"
King poured several sparkling stones of various shapes out of the bag. Waves of pure energy emanated from the stones, and a system notification suddenly rang out.
[Ding! Mission triggered: Collect ten million Stellar Energy Stones to fuse Stellar Power. Reward: Monsterization skill advancement, Stellar Mode.]
Stellar Energy Stones? Stellar Power!
King's pupils constricted. He hadn't expected these small stones to actually contain Stellar Power. This was truly a stroke of luck.
Recalling that incredibly vast power Dragon King used when hunting him down, King was very excited.
However, he was overthinking it. In reality, the power in the energy stones was not Stellar Power, but the most basic Starlight, ot only advanced to Stellar Power after being fused and converted by the Talent Fusion System.
"Not bad. You are quite loyal."
King put the energy stones away, a satisfied expression appearing on his face.
Irene breathed a sigh of relief. She had finally satisfied this Divine Emissary. Otherwise, who knew how he would have ordered the Church's people around.
...
In less than half an hour, over a hundred believers of the Church had finished assembling.
King had thought there would be at least three God's agents here, but in the end, it was only Irene. However, this wasn't hard to understand. Since Irene wanted to advance to Divine Emissary, she surely had to hog a large amount of resources, so she had used various means to drive away the other God's agents long ago.
"Respected Divine Emissary, all members of the Church have assembled and are ready to hear the teachings of God."
King slowly stood up. Irene and all the believers knelt on one knee and bowed their heads.
"Return to God's embrace."
