Faust found an empty house to gather his thoughts on his new System and a Schema. Most of the village's houses were empty and ready for anyone to move into.
They had a simple living room, kitchen and then one room. No electronics, just rural appliances.
He jumped onto the average size bed carelessly and asked the system to explain his new additions.

Faust sat up with a misty expression. "It's Perfect. Perfect. Everything. Down to the last minute details."
Schemas were like talents from webnovels in a way. It allowed him to not only get stronger but also draw the maximum amount of satisfaction from a fight.
System, you're my best friend from now on.
But now he also had to consider attacking people. It wouldn't be hard. He didn't have to kill, just defeat. And for anyone that tried to kill him he could just kill them and take their talent.
With William on his back it was bound to happen soon.
Right now he had to get back out into the fields and hunt monsters, get rewards and dominate this game.
He got up quickly but stopped just at the door to the wooden hut, smiling. "Who's there?"
He hadn't been expecting trouble yet, but he welcomed it. He could replicate their talents, if they had one, and see how long it would last if he didn't defeat the enemy.
A girl walked out from behind the door with her hands up. Her dark blue hair swayed low, almost at her elbows. Her irirses were blood red and unsettling. But he recognised that pretty face.
Nirvana. She was in his class.
"You. What are you doing following me?" Faust asked with a crooked smile.
Nirvana scratched her head. "How do you know I wasn't just browsing houses?"
"Don't waste my time with flimsy lies. What do you want?"
A brief smile flashed on her face, revealing sharp fangs. "My bad. I wanted to ask if you wanted to join my group. Since we're classmates and all."
Faust watched her face closely, then activated his Schema Replication ability. Nirvana had a Schema and quite the interesting one.

[Schema Abilities: Attribute drain, Blood Regeneration]

Faust smiled and finally answered. "Aren't you worried about offending William?"
She seemed confused by that statement, meaning she hadn't considered the fact that William would come at her for allying with him.
"You watched us fight and heard what Schema and Ability he has," Faust scolded. "You should consider the consequences of your actions a bit more. Besides, for now I'm solo."
He walked towards the door and she stumbled out of his way, but followed him into the streets.
"I don't care about what that block head thinks," Nirvana snorted, trying to act cool. "I just think you'll be incredibly helpful. Besides, people don't want to work with us."
Now that he thought about it, Nirvana and her friends were the… freaks in class. Faust had nothing against the strange. But they were all in an Occult club in school, and people made fun of their obsessions.
This place must be a paradise for her.
"Well I'll consider it if you reach level 5 before me," Faust said, making an exaggerated thinking gesture. Then he glanced at the weapon on her back.
A Naginata?
"And if you exchange weapons with me."
Nirvana's crimson eyes flashed with a hidden emotion. When she spoke her voice was low and controlled.
"If I win I get you— I mean you join us? You can't take that back. I won't let you."
Faust eyed the dark look on her face for a moment, wholly unconcerned.
"I never break a promise. But I also never lose."
A smile unconsciously tugged at Nirvana's lips. "Deal!"
She took the sword and gave him her spear before running away like she was scared he'd take back his word, but that wasn't how he operated.
Now that I think about it, Liora said that Nirvana was always trying to hurt her.
She had been talking about it before the system took everyone. Her bike's brake.
He had a good sense of what Nirvana wanted and could use that against her. The deal he made was a test. But first he needed to level up.
In around twenty hours, the Beast Tide would arrive.
