"I was not begging!" Nina gasped, trying to pull away, but his grip on her waist tightened just enough to keep her locked in place. "I was... I was delusional! I was half-asleep! You took advantage of my exhausted state!"
Lucas chuckled, a low, deep rumble that vibrated directly against her chest. He pulled back just enough to look into her eyes, his thumb tracing the fiery outline of her cheekbone with unexpected tenderness. "Delusional? You were coherent enough to bite my shoulder when I pressed too deep."
