Chapter 3 - Chapter 3- Training

Tyler had started following Saitama's training method.

Hundred push-ups, hundred sit-ups, hundred squats, and hundred kilometer run.

Since he didn't have much distance in the ship, he replaced hundred kilometer run with a hundred jumping jacks and a hundred bicycle crunches.

At first, he thought it wouldn't be possible to finish these exercises within a day. After all, it would take years of professional training to achieve it.

But he forgot what kind of world he was in.

Just in his first try, he found that he had more than enough stamina to complete all of these exercises with very little difficulty.

At that moment, he realized the small boost that he got from his fruit was enormous compared to the real world.

Even the ability to punch through walls wasn't something that most people with years of training could achieve.

He understood why his original self tried to leave the island so early. From a normal human to a superhuman.

All it took was a Devil Fruit. How could the mentality of a seventeen-year-old keep up with such growth?

Naturally, the moment he got stronger, he believed he had the strength to achieve his dreams.

So, he left without even thinking that he had just eaten the fruit and hadn't even trained with it.

Since Saitama's training method wasn't enough, he continued the same training by increasing the number.

For the next two days, he kept increasing the numbers after each set of exercise.

During these two days, his voyage was quite stable. He didn't encounter any pirates. But he also didn't even see the edge of the Toroa Island.

"It has been two days. Even though I still have some food left, my appetite is only growing bigger."

"Without many ingredients, I can only cook unsatisfying fish even if I capture them again."

"More importantly, previous cooking had consumed a lot of gas; only a quarter of that cylinder is left."

"I hope I can find the island soon."

He grunted while doing push-ups. He was worried about his future while also worrying about his current strength.

He wanted to get stronger before landing on any of the island but he also wanted to land as quickly as possible.

But this desire did help him train fiercely. Even though it had only been two days, Tyler was following Coby's example of training two hundred times more.

Although he was sure that he wasn't exactly training as much as Coby, he knew he couldn't possibly train that much.

After all, Coby's training was guided by Garp while also receiving proper nutrition from the best.

Coby could spend most of his time training, but he couldn't. He had to manage the ship and clean the boat every time after every high tide.

Fortunately, he was an Otaku before. So, being alone didn't matter that much to him.

But that didn't mean he had no desire to find a crew.

He needed a crew, a proper partners who could help him reach the end of the Grandline.

Since he was going to find One Piece, he didn't plan to let go of Robin. But finding her in the West Blue was hard.

Especially since she was trying to hide from the world.

He could only place his bets on powerful pirate crews. He knew Robin had used these crews to survive and reach the Grandline.

Although she was a good person, she was also a ruthless pirate, especially after the many betrayals she suffered.

Gol D Roger died in 1517 ASC, and the Ohara Incident occurred in 1519 ASC. When Roger died, Tyler was only seven years old.

That meant eight years had passed since the Ohara incident. Eight years were plenty enough to put young Robin through many rough situations.

Because of this, it would be pretty hard to get her loyalty. But he wasn't worried about that.

He was more worried about finding her before she left the West Blue. He knew she had spent at least over a decade in the West Blue.

So, his chances were still high, but he wasn't sure how much.

There was also another crew member whom he needed to recruit.

Laffitte!

This was a bit hard choice for him. But during these two days of training, he had put a lot of thought into this choice.

Laffitte, while cruel, was a fantastic choice for a navigator and strategist for the crew.

While Tyler could also act as brain for the crew, he believed he wasn't made for that kind of work.

Let the professional do their job!

Besides, what kind of pirate wasn't cruel?

Loki destroyed the entire village. Although it could have been seen as not killing all of the villagers or even for the sake of his mother, it was indeed a cruel act.

If Luffy could still invite someone like him after learning these things, why couldn't he invite Laffitte?

Of course, Laffitte could genuinely be a sadist, but he didn't care. He was going to be a pirate, not a hero.

As long as his crew didn't break his rules or go overboard with killing, he didn't care what kind of past they had.

Besides these two, he hadn't thought of anyone else. He just hoped he could find at least one person to join his crew on the next island.

With this hope, he continued his training.

The Next Day;

He finally saw the shape of an island from afar.

"Finally! Finally!"

He roared with excitement as he started using oars to speed up his ship towards the island.

He couldn't wait to reach this island. He didn't understand why he hadn't encountered a single pirate ship in these three days.

As he got closer, the look on his face darkened.

He saw a large building from miles away, and unlike most buildings, it was a Navy Building.

"The fuck! How in the world did I encounter a Navy Branch while going towards Toroa Island?"

At this moment, he almost fell to his knees. He quickly took out his map and read it properly.

After reading it several times, he finally came to a conclusion. This was the G-80 branch of the West Blue.

Somehow, he had come close to Ilisia Kingdom.

"It must be the storm. That damned storm took me so far away from my goal."

He roared.

But he quickly started steering the ship away from that island. He had no desire to visit that island.

Just when he was about to leave, he paused for a moment.

He couldn't help but think.

What if he encountered a pirate like Zoro in this Marine Base?

Could this be a destiny?

Was he supposed to go to this place and find his first mate? Or, should he just leave?

He couldn't decide.

He truly wanted to test his destiny, but he was also afraid of this base. Simply because a Vice Admiral was here before the Ohara incident.

Now, he wasn't sure, but Saul did capture Robin's mother in this base. Of course, it could be that he came from the HQ to specifically capture.

After all, that was supposed to be his mission given by Sengoku. But he wasn't sure. Those memories were quite blurry.

"Anyway, I can just say I am not a pirate if there is a real vice admiral in this base. I don't have a bounty anyway."

He steered the ship back towards the island and slowly made his way to the island.

Since he hadn't made a pirate flag, he could basically call himself a bounty hunter or an adventurer.

After a few hours, his boat finally reached the shores of the island. After he tied his boat to the shore, he stretched out his arms with excitement.

"I haven't felt the land for days. It's such a good feeling."

With a big smile on his face, he walked towards the island's core. On the way, he asked people about this island.

Even with his previous memories, he didn't know much about this island except that it was the base for the Marine Branch.

But according to the people of this base, this island was called Candy Island. The town was simply called Candy Town.

While talking to these people, he found them quite honest and respectful. They also seemed to have a level of respect for this marine branch.

Though he understood why.

West Blue was probably one of the most dangerous places, teeming with powerful pirates, underworld individuals, and gangs.

So, the Marine Base was probably the safest place in this entire sea, except for those large kingdoms.

But even those kingdoms had a lot of dealings with the underworld.

He made his way to a restaurant. He had brought all of his savings on this journey, so he had quite a lot of money.

But it wasn't enough to buy a proper ship. So, he could only spend it on food and information.

After the waiter brought some food, Tyler immediately asked.

"Waiter, is there anything interesting happening in this town?"
