After finishing their introductions, Steven and Bill headed toward the office.
They had barely taken their seats when the manager arrived, carrying a stack of files. He respectfully handed all of them to Steven before leaving.
Steven spent the entire day going through those files.
Page after page, detail after detail—he carefully analyzed everything. By the end of the day, he had already identified several major flaws within the company. Quietly, he began forming a plan.
Tomorrow… everything begins, he thought.
Closing the last file, Steven stood up and looked at Bill.
"Let's go, Bill. Our work for today is done."
The moment Bill heard that, his face lit up.
"Finally! I thought your work would never end," he said dramatically.
Steven chuckled lightly before asking, "By the way, which hotel are we staying in?"
Bill straightened his posture and spoke with pride,
"What do you think of my family? We're not ordinary people. My family is one of the richest here. We'll be staying at our villa."
Steven raised an eyebrow.
"Why are you showing off to me? I have all that too."
Hearing this, Bill instantly lost his confidence and scratched his head awkwardly.
"Yeah… you're right. There's no point flexing in front of you."
Steven smirked.
"Alright, forget that. Let's head to the villa then."
But Bill immediately shook his head.
"No. We're not going to the villa."
Steven frowned slightly. "What do you mean?"
Bill grinned.
"You said it yourself—once work is done, we'll explore the city."
Steven sighed tiredly.
"I remember. But I'm exhausted, and we don't even know this city properly yet."
Bill quickly replied,
"Don't worry! I've already planned everything. We won't walk—we'll go everywhere by car. And we're not covering everything today. Just one place."
Steven looked at him in surprise.
He hadn't expected Bill to plan something so well.
So he does have his moments… Steven thought.
"I wish you showed this much excitement in work too," Steven said with a faint smile. "Fine. Let's go."
Soon, they arrived at the biggest club in the city.
Their car stopped at the grand entrance. The lights, music, and luxurious atmosphere made it clear—this place was meant only for the elite.
They stepped inside and took a VIP pass before heading to the top floor, reserved exclusively for the richest guests.
They booked a table and ordered drinks.
After spending some time there, they decided to leave.
"I'll be back. Washroom," Bill said casually before walking away.
Steven remained seated, casually observing his surroundings.
That's when his gaze stopped at a nearby table.
A man, around fifty or sixty years old, was sitting with a young woman who looked no older than twenty.
Steven narrowed his eyes.
When he looked closely… he froze.
Thomas Anderson…
One of the biggest rivals of Bill's family.
Without drawing attention, Steven quietly leaned back and started listening.
Thomas smirked as he spoke,
"Just wait and watch. Very soon, Barry Jonson's company will go bankrupt. And then, my company will become the biggest."
The girl smiled sweetly.
"But how will you do that, darling?"
Thomas leaned closer, his voice filled with arrogance.
"All my plans are perfect. I've already planted my men inside his company. They're slowly causing losses."
He chuckled.
"And now, I heard there's a new foolish head in the company… along with his equally foolish son. This will make things even easier."
The girl tilted her head.
"So what do you want me to do?"
Thomas's smile turned cold.
"You will make both of them fall for you… the son and the new head. Then you'll turn them against each other."
His eyes gleamed with malice.
"Once they start fighting, their company will collapse from within."
The girl paused for a moment before asking,
"And what do I get in return?"
Thomas sighed, amused.
"You never change. Fine… I'll give you 10 million."
The girl's eyes lit up instantly.
"Deal."
Moments later, the two of them left.
Steven sat there, completely still.
His expression darkened.
So this is their plan…
Just then, Bill returned.
"Let's go," he said casually.
Steven nodded, hiding everything he had just heard.
Both of them left the club and returned to the villa.
Once inside, Steven told Bill everything.
The moment Bill heard it, his anger exploded.
"What?! I'll call my father right now. He'll destroy that Thomas!"
But Steven immediately stopped him.
"No."
Bill looked at him, confused.
"We'll handle this ourselves," Steven said calmly. "And we'll destroy his plan completely."
Bill frowned. "But how?"
Steven leaned closer and whispered something in his ear.
Bill's eyes widened in shock.
The next morning…
Both of them arrived at the company.
As soon as Steven entered his office, his secretary informed him,
"Sir, a new candidate has arrived for an interview. Would you like to conduct it?"
Steven nodded.
"Bring her in."
He took a seat in the interview room, with Bill sitting beside him.
A moment later, the door opened.
"May I come in, sir?"
The girl stepped inside.
The moment Steven saw her…
his eyes sharpened.
It was the same girl from last night.
