Chapter 44 - the axiom is completely gone

In the middle of The Axiom's completely devastated satellite hangar, the thousands of remaining cyborg soldiers could only stand frozen in place.

The scene before them was far too absurd for any machine system to process.

Their leader was dead, and the monsters standing before them were casually chatting as if they had just finished a picnic.

"The data's safely in my hands," Arrow said, patting the pocket containing the flash drive from the main server. "We've got no more business here."

Tora let out a low snort while rolling his shoulders, which were still slightly stiff from his earlier rampage.

"Tch, what a waste of time. Let's go home already. This place reeks of stale oil."

Scyte rested his scythe on his shoulder and glanced toward the satellite ceiling that had split apart during the battle.

The dark expanse of outer space filled with stars was clearly visible above them.

"Hey, Rare," Scyte called out with a mischievous grin. "Didn't you say you wanted to bring the Boss a souvenir? How about we give this tin-can headquarters a little… grand finale so it doesn't keep cluttering Earth's orbit?"

Rare blinked innocently before giving a sweet smile.

"Oh, that's a good idea, Scyte. Besides, this place is already far too messy to clean up."

Rare stepped forward, gripping Excalibur's handle with both hands before stabbing it into the satellite's metal floor.

He slowly closed his eyes.

Instantly, the gravitational field around the satellite descended into chaos.

The remaining Axiom soldiers began floating uncontrollably.

Emergency alarms blared throughout the station, detecting an enormous mass anomaly approaching from outer space.

Out there, within the empty cosmic darkness, a gigantic meteor cloaked in blue and crimson flames came hurtling forward at terrifying speed, drawn directly by Rare's absolute gravitational force.

Tora looked upward and grinned widely.

"Good choice, Rare…"

Arrow immediately pressed a device on his wrist.

At once, a deep purple dimensional portal opened behind them, the return route already prepared by No Name.

"Move, now!" Arrow shouted.

Tora, Scyte, and Arrow stepped into the portal.

Rare glanced at the panicking Axiom soldiers still floating helplessly in the air, then gave them a small polite bow along with his gentle smile.

"Thank you for the playground. Goodbye."

Rare pulled his sword free and leaped into the portal.

The very instant the portal closed…

BOOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!

The cosmic meteor slammed directly into The Axiom satellite.

There was no sound in the vacuum of space, yet the explosion's light was so blinding that it illuminated part of Earth's orbit itself.

The headquarters that once protected the balance of the world was obliterated into cosmic dust within seconds.

Deep beneath No Name Corporation headquarters.

A cold atmosphere mixed with the scent of ozone greeted The Four Pions as they stepped out of the portal.

The room was silent, illuminated only by blue and golden light from countless monitor screens.

At the far end of the room, behind his massive desk, No Name sat calmly.

There was no look of surprise or relief on his face.

He simply stared at his four pieces returning safely, despite their clothes being stained with blood, dust, and oil.

"The mission is complete, Boss," Rare said first with his usual cheerful smile.

Arrow stepped forward, reached into his pocket, and placed the small flash drive onto No Name's desk.

"All data from The Axiom's mainframe is stored here," Arrow reported in a calm and professional tone. "And their satellite has also been… taken care of by Rare."

No Name glanced at the flash drive briefly before picking it up.

"Good work."

He inserted the device into his quantum console.

The giant holographic screen across the laboratory wall immediately lit up, displaying millions of lines of code being rapidly decrypted.

Tora, Scyte, Arrow, and Rare all stared at the screen with curiosity.
