"You need to reject Valeria."
Jamison stood his ground, staring directly at Aziel without any sign that he intended to take the demand back. He looked completely serious, completely certain, and completely unwilling to compromise. To him, this was the only solution. To him, ending the bond was the only way to protect his granddaughter from becoming involved with the Rhodes family. He wasn't going to allow her to be hurt by them. They had hurt his family enough.
Unfortunately for him, though, Aziel had absolutely no intention of doing what he was being told. Almost immediately, irritation flared inside him. The frustration that had been building throughout the entire conversation finally surfaced. He stepped away from Jamison and put some distance between them before turning back to face him. His jaw was tight, and there was no attempt to hide the annoyance in his expression.
"I will never do such a thing."
