Aziel continued staring ahead for several seconds after Sarah's words came through the intercom. The exhaustion that had been weighing him down all morning seemed to disappear beneath a different emotion entirely. Across from him, Damien remained frozen in his chair, still trying to process what he had just heard. Of all the people either of them could have expected to show up at Rhodes Industries that morning, Jamison Aldrith was not one of them. He wouldn't have even been on the list of people Aziel could have guessed to ever come to his company ever. The silence in the office stretched between them before Aziel finally spoke. His voice was calm, but there was tension beneath it that Damien immediately recognised.
