Power was still down. It was late afternoon. There was nothing to do at home except the laundry and dishwashing. Luckily, I had a good excuse not to do the laundry while the washing machine didn't work; not so much for the dish washing, but if I wasn't going to do one thing I might as well not do the other thing either.
With no access to the PC, or my VR—I should have charged it the night before—the only thing I had left other than Senne's weird tales of the past was my phone. But even that was running low on battery and I didn't want to risk screwing anything up by getting the crazy devil to 'charge' it.
It was around four o'clock when my boredom reached its peak, I heard the doorbell ring.
'Who could it be? In THIS weather?'
Brian would have used his key, and Mom certainly wouldn't brave this weather to come home. I was intrigued and a little frightened, but I decided to get the door after all.
When I arrived, I could hear a voice call from outside.
"Bree, it's Karuhi."
