Chapter 4 - Chapter 4: A Clichéd Hero World

Seeing her short dagger and the money she had worked so hard to steal today both taken by Gojo, Felt was so angry she could grind her teeth, but she didn't dare make any rash moves.

She could only glare at him indignantly, like a little stray cat that had its food snatched away.

"I worked so hard to steal that, and besides, I didn't even manage to steal anything from you!"

"You, how can you be a robber!"

Felt knew that stealing was bad behavior, but for the sake of her ideals and her future life, she had always been scrimping and saving, working hard to accumulate money.

Now that Gojo had taken all of it, it Felt like her heart was bleeding.

And this guy, who was clearly so strong and obviously not an ordinary person, was actually robbing her of such a small amount of money.

Shouldn't he be the type who wouldn't even bother to look, and would feel disgusted just by touching it?

"A robber?"

Gojo chuckled as he tucked the money into his pocket, patting it as if to show off, ensuring it wouldn't fall out.

Then he crouched in front of Felt, "You were the one who tried to steal from me first; I'm just taking a little interest."

As Gojo spoke, he reached out to tug at Felt's little face, then ruffled her hair until it was a mess, before standing up, satisfied.

"Next time you steal something, make sure to check if the person is someone you can afford to provoke."

Gojo said this as he stuffed a candy he had on him into her pocket, then turned and walked away.

Felt watched his retreating back, gritting her teeth, yet feeling helpless.

She couldn't beat him, so she had to just accept her bad luck.

However, just as she was about to leave, she noticed her short dagger lying quietly at her feet, though she didn't know when it had been placed there.

Felt quickly picked up the short dagger and reattached it to her lower back.

When she looked up again, Gojo's figure had already vanished.

Felt pulled the candy Gojo had left from her pocket; it had pretty wrapping paper and a faint fragrance.

Although she had never seen one before, Felt still recognized what it was.

Looking at the candy, Felt pursed her lips, put it back into her pocket, let out a soft huff, and walked out of the alley, merging back into the crowd.

With the money he had gotten from Felt, Gojo headed straight for a bookstore.

Having money was more convenient in any world.

He bought a book on the basic script of this world and had the owner briefly explain the meaning of each character.

It cost one silver coin in total.

Gojo now had a general understanding of the written language of this world.

Things like photographic memory weren't a challenge for him.

Now that he had the ability to read, after asking the owner, Gojo bought a history book before leaving the bookstore.

It cost one silver coin and twenty-three copper coins in total.

The currency here was divided into four types from lowest to highest: copper coins, silver coins, gold coins, and holy gold coins.

The exchange rate for each was 1:100.

Flipping quickly through the book in his hand, Gojo gained a clearer understanding of this world.

"It really is just like those fantasy light novels."

Gojo looked at the history book in his hand and sighed with emotion.

This world was quite complex.

It was divided into four countries.

They were Lugnica, Vollachia, the Kararagi City-State, and the Holy Kingdom of Gusteko.

He was currently in the royal capital of Lugnica.

Lugnica was a kingdom with over a thousand years of history and a population of nearly 50 million, with various climates within its territory, as well as many different races like demi-humans.

Furthermore, it possessed traditional fantasy elements like magic and dragons.

Besides that, there was also talk of Witches in this world.

It was rumored that four hundred years ago, a Witch named Jealousy had devoured half the world.

In the end, she was defeated by the joint efforts of the Great Sage, the divine dragon, and the Sword Saint, saving the whole world.

Having finished reading this so-called history, Gojo Felt like he was reading trashy novels.

A very clichéd type of hero saving the world.

It was nothing more than changing the Demon King into a Witch.

"The only things slightly interesting should be what they call Divine Protections and Authority."

According to the book, Divine Protections were things that everyone in this world might possess.

They were blessings given by the world to people at birth.

Some Divine Protections were unique to a certain race.

Most people were born without Divine Protections; those born with them knew what their Divine Protection was without needing to be told.

Authority could be seen as the opposite of Divine Protections, or perhaps an upper-tier substitute.

No Divine Protection could surpass Authority.

However, Authority would only manifest in those who had absorbed Witch Factors.

That is, the legendary Witches.

Both types of abilities possessed extremely powerful strength.

"According to this world's classification, my Six Eyes should count as a Divine Protection unique to the Gojo Family."

Gojo silently analyzed this, referencing his own situation.

"Well, all in all, it's not a world that's entirely boring."

Gojo no longer had much interest in Jujutsu and the like.

Because even now, he was already at the pinnacle of the Jujutsu World.

He only needed a little more time, and he would definitely stand at the peak of all Sorcerers, becoming the strongest existence.

But whether it was magic, Divine Protections, or Authority, these were things he had never seen before.

Unknown existences were always more intriguing.

If possible, he wanted to see for himself right now how these things would appear under the observation of the Six Eyes.

Having understood these things, Gojo, who had just seemed a bit motivated, returned to his previous lazy demeanor.

"Yosh, now let's go taste this country's specialty desserts!"

Gojo couldn't be bothered to think too much about other things.

He would take it one step at a time.

Besides, that so-called protagonist hadn't even appeared yet, so this should definitely count as free time.

With the mindset of a tourist, Gojo began searching for the desserts he favored.

Just right, he happened to pass by the fruit stall from earlier again.

The fierce-looking middle-aged man saw Gojo and anger immediately appeared on his face.

But before he could speak, Gojo tossed four copper coins onto the table and took another apple.

"Your apples are very good."

"I like them very much."

The middle-aged man was stunned; seeing Gojo's thumb-up and the four copper coins, the anger on his face also disappeared.

He let out a huff, put away the copper coins, and nodded towards Gojo.

Eating the juicy and sweet apple, Gojo's figure vanished into the crowd in the blink of an eye.
