Chapter 130 - Chapter 130: Fight or Fall

The air turned heavy.

Unnaturally heavy.

Riven stood still—

But his instincts screamed.

Danger.

Real danger.

From the distance—

A figure appeared.

Not a normal monster.

Its body was twisted.

Dark energy leaking from it.

Its eyes—

Empty.

"…What is that…?"

Riven whispered.

Godwin didn't move.

"…Something your world created."

A pause.

"…And something you have to face."

The creature stepped forward.

The ground cracked beneath it.

Its presence alone—

Was overwhelming.

Riven clenched his fist.

"…This is way stronger than before…"

The creature suddenly vanished.

"…!"

Riven's eyes widened—

He moved instantly.

Dodged—

Barely.

A massive impact hit the ground behind him.

"…Fast…!"

He turned—

The creature was already attacking again.

No pause.

No pattern.

Riven blocked—

But the force—

Sent him flying back.

"…Tch—!"

He hit the ground—

Rolled—

Stood up again.

Breathing heavy.

"…I can't take many hits like that…"

The creature didn't wait.

It charged again.

Riven focused.

"…Calm…"

"…Don't think…"

"…Feel…"

The creature attacked—

Riven moved.

Dodged.

Cleaner this time.

"…I see it…!"

Not with eyes—

But instinct.

He countered.

Attacked.

His strike hit—

But barely did damage.

"…It's too tough…!"

The creature roared—

And swung again.

Riven jumped back.

But not fast enough.

The attack grazed him—

"…Gah—!"

Pain shot through his body.

He stumbled.

"…This is bad…"

Godwin watched silently.

No help.

No movement.

Just observing.

Riven clenched his teeth.

"…I can't lose…"

The creature rushed again.

Faster.

Stronger.

Riven's body reacted—

But slower now.

Fatigue.

Pain.

"…Move…!"

He barely dodged

But lost balance.

The creature raised its arm

Final strike.

Riven's eyes widened.

"…No !"

Time slowed.

Fear rose.

But then—

Something clicked.

"…No…"

"…I'm not done yet…"

His eyes sharpened.

That same feeling

From before

Returned.

Stronger.

Clearer.

The world shifted.

The creature's movement

Became predictable.

Paths appeared.

Openings revealed.

"…There…!"

Riven moved.

Not panicked.

Not desperate.

Precise.

The attack missed.

Completely.

He stepped in

Closer.

Dangerously close.

"…Now!"

He struck.

Not randomly.

Not blindly.

Exactly where it mattered.

The creature froze.

For a split second.

Then

Cracked.

A deep mark appeared across its body.

"…It worked…!"

The creature roared violently.

Enraged.

It attacked again

Faster than before.

But this time

Riven wasn't the same.

He moved smoothly.

Effortlessly.

Dodging.

Reading.

Countering.

Each movement

Sharper.

More controlled.

"…I can see it all…!"

The fight shifted.

Not completely.

But clearly.

Riven pushed forward.

Strike after strike.

Not all perfect.

But improving.

Constantly.

The creature staggered.

For the first time

It was being overwhelmed.

"…Finish it…!"

Riven focused everything.

All his strength.

All his awareness.

All his will.

He moved.

One final attack.

Clean.

Precise.

Decisive.

The strike landed.

Silence.

The creature froze.

Then

Collapsed.

Gone.

Just like that.

Riven stood still.

Breathing heavily.

"…I… won…"

His legs gave out.

He dropped to his knees.

"…I actually… won…"

Godwin walked forward.

Calm.

"…Barely."

Riven laughed weakly.

"…You always say that…"

Godwin looked at him.

"…Because it's always true."

A pause.

"…But this time…"

Riven looked up.

Godwin's expression was slightly different.

"…You did well."

Silence.

Riven smiled.

"…That's new…"

Godwin turned away.

"…Don't get used to it."

Riven lay back on the ground.

Exhausted.

But satisfied.

Because for the first time

He didn't just survive.

He won.

And somewhere deep inside

Something had awakened.

Something real.

Godwin looked at the sky.

"…This world is changing…"

A pause.

"…Faster than expected."

His eyes sharpened slightly.

"…And not just because of him."

Far away—

Something else stirred.

Watching.

Waiting.

Something much bigger.

And this time

Even Godwin noticed.

"…Interesting…"

The real challenge

Was just beginning.

To be continued…
