Instead of explaining further, I brought up another story that would be easier for him to understand.
"It's similar to swearing to a god. Spirits can't break a promise made to a god, right? Because if they break the oath, their existence disappears."

"Yes. But a written contract only has an effect among humans, so Sylpheed, you won’t be able to use it. Instead, you make an oath."

"I'll contract with you if you swear to listen to me unconditionally after we make the contract."
With that, I folded my arms, indicating that I would not negotiate further.
