‘He saw it. He definitely saw it.’
My instincts and intuition screamed at me that Carlisle had seen something, for sure.
Apart from the fact that he immediately spotted me in this large crowd and that I met him after such a long time, the idea that Carlisle must have witnessed the scene just moments ago consumed my thoughts.
Was I feeling sorry for Carlisle? Not a chance.
That whole proposal thing he did was ancient history, and we weren’t even close enough for him to be jealous.
If I had to explain it, it was more like an instinctive worry, a vague concern that perhaps Aiden might be getting into trouble because of Carlisle.
I didn't have any special feelings for Carlisle, but I had a sensitivity to certain things...
Just then, Aiden whispered in my ear again.
"What’s wrong, Lili?"
Simultaneously, a spark gleamed in Carlisle's red eyes as he glanced in our direction.
‘I can sense his gaze from here.’
