#Chapter 29
The Carnoire troops decided to set camp in the town for another day before joining the war.
They had to take care of the Wizard of the Earth, as well as the damage Hirkan has brought upon the town.
The knights of Carnoire seemed oddly excited.
Their excitement didn’t entirely seem due to the manifestation of Zahid’s powers.
There was something about them that I couldn’t quite explain – a peculiar sense of arousal exhilaration and anticipation.
After the night of the incident, Zahid didn’t come visit me the entire day.
It didn’t seem like he was trying to keep a distance, but rather because he didn’t have the time to do so.
When his eyes met mine from afar, he briefly flashed a smile at me.
He seemed to be thinking about me.
Zahid would always mention how he had no idea what was going on in my head, but it was the same for me.
I was dying to know what was going on in his mind.
