The child never wanted to become a wizard.
Alas, destiny was not something to be controlled.
Upon the manifestations of his powers, the small child didn’t understand what was happening to him.
What he did remember, was how incredibly strange that moment was.
The ground quaked as pillars of dirt shot up out of the ground, and buildings crumbled down.
Everyone was busy running away in panic.
Amidst the crowd of people running for their lives, he stood there confused and still.
There was no reason for him to run.
Though everything was quaking, the land beneath the boy’s feet didn’t move one bit.
The boy tilted his head in perplexity.
He considered running away just like the others, but he didn’t want to.
The soil under his bare feet was too soft to run away from.
As everyone else fled for their lives, the boy kicked around the cool, soft dirt with his bare feet.
Soon everyone was gone, and the screaming dwindled down into silence.
