I blankly stared at the Pope.
His smile reminded me of that of an angel in one of those icons.
I too have thought that we needed to have a talk one-on-one.
As difficult as it is to get the chance to do so, figuring out a way to arrange a meeting was one of my top priority enigmas.
But this, this wasn’t the answer I was looking for.
“Are you out of your mind? How could you do this just to get some alone time……!”
I furiously shouted.
Anyone with a sound mind or the tiniest bit of empathy wouldn’t drive a sixteen-year-old to the brink of death via a malignity overdose.
“You make it sound like this is not a big deal. I’m hurt.”
The Pope lifted his eyebrows, then took slow steps to approach me.
I sneered at him as I gave my warning.
“Don’t you dare lay a single finger on me, or else.”
“How cute. Or else what?”
He smirked as he asked teasingly.
“Are you going to bite me, or something?”
The five paladins that had been with him earlier slowly entered the alley.
