I had no recollection of how I had gotten to the annex. The only thing on my mind was seeing Cheryl and Ethan. Even though I hadn’t been in my right mind, I managed to make my way to my siblings and hold them in my arms. Everything went black after that. I must have fainted or something. My whole body was burning up by the time I came back to my senses. My breath felt hot and my eyelids were heavy like a clump of metal, it felt impossible to open them. Unable to even lift a finger, all I could do was lay still.
“It’s because she’s extremely mentally exhausted.”
I heard the hushed voice of someone talking next to me.
“…She had a bad fever last time as well.”
“I just diagnosed it as the flu last time, but… was she as exhausted as this then as well?”
“What if she was?”
