Even for Hirkan, it was his first time ever laying eyes on the Temple of Aarantium located in the middle of the desert. He said that he would ask around about it, but didn’t look too confident, which made sense given that the temple had been long forgotten by everyone.

The church had put in a lot of effort over a long period of time to wipe all evidence of it from history and memory, meaning that it was only them and the Aarantium worshippers who remembered. It made perfect sense to forget about some temple hidden God-knows-where in the middle of the desert.

Before we exited, I turned around to look at the broken Aarantium statue. Her face had split in half and buried itself in the sand.

As I looked back at her expressionless face, I thought about how I would probably end up dreaming of her later that night.

Once we returned to the Royal Palace, Cheryl, and Ethan kicked up a huge fuss over me.
