The next morning, Gideon dragged the attacker into the palace's main hall, disrupting the Alpha King and Luna Queen during their morning tea.
With a shove, he threw the bound man onto the marble floor, leaving both of them bewildered by the sudden intrusion.
"Gideon, what is the meaning of this so early in the morning?" Huxley frowned, setting his teacup down firmly onto the saucer.
Gideon bowed first in a humble greeting.
"Yesterday, I traveled to the borders to assess the situation and inform the warriors that Ensley will be leading them in my place," he said.
As he spoke, his sharp gaze locked onto Presley. The Luna Queen shifted in her seat, looking visibly uncomfortable and alarmed; she clearly had not expected him to return with the attacker alive.
Gideon stepped closer to the kneeling man, looking back at his father. "And this guy was caught attempting to kill one of our warriors. Do you want to know who sent him?"
