I was transported into a vast space enclosed by thick, pure white walls. Countless glowing lights floated all around—each one representing an early player invited to experience the game. Everyone was incredibly excited, chatting and discussing character classes and builds
A control panel appeared before me, signaling the start of character creation—just like in YGGDRASIL.
There were countless races available. I began reviewing them one by one.
1. Humanoids
This group consists of human-like races. They are generally weaker in base stats but highly flexible in learning and using skills.
Characteristics: Human-like appearance, civilized societies.
Examples: Human, Elf, Dwarf, Hobbit, etc.
2. Demihumans
These races are hybrids between humans and beasts or other creatures. They usually have higher base stats and strong combat abilities.
Characteristics: Beast-like features, physically strong, often live in tribes.
Examples: Goblin, Orc, Ogre, Lizardman, etc.
3. Heteromorphic
These are the most bizarre races, with appearances far from human—monsters, demons, or unnatural beings. They possess the highest base stats and powerful abilities but are often discriminated against and face restrictions.
Characteristics: Unusual forms (skeletons, slime, insects...), powerful unique traits.
I was honestly overwhelmed by the sheer scale of the race system. It was massive—ridiculously massive. Totally worth the wait.
I carefully browsed through each category. First humans, then demihumans, and finally heteromorphs. At first, I considered picking a werewolf—it looked cool and had decent stats. But I decided to check the last category more thoroughly.
As expected, it was a lineup meant for villains. Creatures that looked grotesque, monstrous… and limited in many ways.
But then—
I saw it.
Something that felt like it was made just for me.
Insectoid.
"Heh… you guys wouldn't get it. I love insects."
Without hesitation, I selected it.
[Insectoid Chimera – Hybrid Insect Aberration]
This was it. My true calling
Now, time to create my character.
"What should I name myself…? Ah, got it."
[Raiden Tora ZenDo]
Yeah… that sounds pretty cool. At least to me.
Whatever. Let's begin
My body began to break apart into millions of particles of light—then reconstructed layer by layer.
First came the exoskeleton—a sleek black armor like a beetle's shell, yet thinner and far more flexible. The joints were designed like a praying mantis, allowing absurdly fast and precise movements.
Next, two pairs of wings emerged from my back. One pair was thin like a dragonfly's wings, transparent with glowing patterns. The other was thicker, like a moth's wings, coated in magical dust that could distort perception.
My arms… no, they were no longer "arms."
Right arm: A mantis-like scythe, so sharp it seemed to slice the air itself.
Left arm: A crushing claw like a beetle's pincer, capable of shattering metal
My legs split into six limbs, each with different traits:
Front legs: Spider-like, allowing wall-climbing
Middle legs: Grasshopper structure, built for powerful jumps
Rear legs: Dung beetle type, enhancing lifting strengt
My abdomen extended, segmented like a centipede, glowing faintly purple from the magical energy within. At its tip was a stinger like a bee's, capable of injecting venom—or even mana—directly into enemies.
Finally, my head took shape.
Not human.
Compound eyes—thousands of tiny lenses reflecting the world from countless angles. Two long antennae twitched constantly, gathering information from the surroundings.
It was… incredible.
This game felt unbelievably real.
Still, there were subtle limitations—perhaps to prevent players from losing themselves completely between reality and the game.
But now—
I had to check my status.
I was genuinely excited.
