This chapter is recommended for reading before starting the fanfic, as it contains important information that will help you better understand the plot. It was added during the events of Season 3, so please ignore any time inconsistencies at the time of publication.
The main character and her quirk
Name: Debriah Nightshade ("Debriah" is the angel of death, "Nightshade" is the night shadow). Quirk: Shadow Necromancer.
Abilities:
• Manipulate the shadows of surrounding objects (change shape, size, density). • Summon the souls of the dead as allies in battle. • Emit a blinding light that neutralizes shadows and banishes souls back to the world of the dead.
Limitations:
• Summoning souls and controlling shadows requires significant energy expenditure. • The longer she uses the Quirk, the more exhausted she becomes. • Limited number of souls that can be summoned (increases only with training). • Without her Quirk, she is physically weak (poor stamina, no hand-to-hand combat skills). • Strong light destroys her constructs and makes her vulnerable. • Cannot use abilities in brightly lit areas.
About other characters
My fanfic will also feature other original characters, each with their own place in the story. They played a vital role in Debria's development as a person. Her guardian will appear periodically, and her parents will be mentioned frequently—after all, they were the key reason she chose the hero's path.
Canon compliance.
I love canon and have no intention of breaking it. Of course, Debrii's appearance will change some events, but don't expect her to steal the show or take credit for other people's accomplishments.
Slowburn.
Aizawa and Debrii's relationship will develop slowly and logically. After all, this is a teacher/student format, and a normal and healthy relationship requires foundation. Don't worry: there will be plenty of interaction and romance, but there won't be any "love at first sight."
Reasonable OOC.
Aizawa, of course, would hardly have fallen in love with a student in the original, so I justified this moment through the appearance of a new heroine. I tried to keep the rest of the characters as close to canon as possible, so don't expect any strong dissonance.
