Chapter 1 - The King's First Sin

"… I wonder

If you are the strongest in your world, and then you cross over to another world… will you still remain the strongest there? Or will you become just a side character crushed under the feet of those who are stronger than you?"

The head separated from the body in a silent flash, rolling on the ground and leaving a viscous trail of blood.

But the strange thing…

Was that the body did not understand it had died.

It remained standing without a head in a horrific scene, as the trembling hands rushed into the air, flailing wildly in search of the missing head. It took a step toward the head trying to grab it, then collapsed into a pool of its own blood.

A cold voice drifted over the scene:

"'The King of separation', the undisputed strongest.

He died because the world was stronger than his arrogance.

This is not the end of the King… but the beginning of someone else who will inherit his sin."

"He died… but the sin did not die with him."

Then came the real voice… of a girl.

"A good question…"

"But the real problem is not who is the strongest in his world…"

"But who will stay alive when they cross over to my world?"

He fell to the ground with a force that caused the heavy wooden planks to crack.

When he opened his eyes, the air was filled with an air of cold fear. He raised his hand slowly and wiped the dust from his face. His dark silver-gray hair fell messily over one eye.

As for his eyes, they had already adapted to the new world.

"You are standing on my favorite rug… and leaving the dust of another world on it."

The voice came calm, feminine, and terrifying in its coldness.

The king slowly raised his head.

In front of him was a stunningly beautiful girl, wearing black rabbit ears over her dark red hair.

He was standing in the center of a massive, dark meeting hall. The walls were covered with classical paintings depicting ancient battles and the fall of terrifying creatures.

The scent was a suffocating mix of old paper, cold coffee, and the scent of fresh blood hidden behind luxurious incense.

He said in his usual mocking tone as he stood up lightly:

"It seems I have fallen into a luxurious meeting room. I'm not sure which is worse… this, or not remembering what happened to me."

The girl looked at him for a long time, her eyes unblinking.

"I am Lilith Domina, head of Division Four in the Public Control Bureau."

A faint smile appeared on her lips.

"Do not worry, this is normal in our world. Fear is not just a feeling… it is a power. When it reaches its peak, humans turn into monsters with no cure."

He felt a strange energy approaching him. Thin chains tried to bind him.

He did not move.

He whispered to himself:

"Separation Boundary of Nothingness."

His ability swallowed the chains before they reached him.

A smirk appeared on his face.

"A good attempt… but not enough.

So you turn humans into monsters, then bind them with chains and claim you are protecting the world. A convenient method."

"You are different," Lilith said, looking at him with interest. "Your ability does not depend on fear. This makes you dangerous… and useful.

I only wanted to test you. If I wanted to kill you, you would be sprawled beneath my feet right now."

The king laughed out loud:

"Oh, really?"

A wide grin appeared across his face.

"Since we met, I have killed you a thousand times inside my mind."

Then he looked at her with eyes full of defiance and curiosity:

"Your world seems highly entertaining. Chains, monsters, and conspiracies.

But I wonder… what will happen after the arrival of the new King?"

Lilith let out a slight smile, and golden circles flashed briefly in her eyes before disappearing, and she said:

"If you were the strongest in your world… does that mean anything here?"

He answered her with a grin full of enthusiasm:

My name is Kaito Soren… the one you should remember.

"The strongest does not change by changing the world…

The world is what changes when I arrive in it.

Whether in my world, your world, or any other world…

I am the undisputed strongest."

Outside the window…

A single crow stood on a distant ledge.

Then another.

Then a third.

As if something had begun gathering in silence.

Kaito Soren , the Sovereign was no longer in his world.

He had arrived in the world of absolute fear.

Lilith placed her hand over her mouth elegantly and whispered in a voice that could barely be heard:

"I wonder… when, where, and how will you die this time, my dear Kaito?"

As if the sentence was not said to just one person… but to this entire world.

And outside…

The crow was no longer alone.

And the question no longer needed an answer.
