Synopsis
Kaito Soren was the "King of Separation" — the undisputed strongest in his world, possessing the power of the Infinite Void, an ability that erased distance, shattered every bond, and separated cause from effect. No one could touch him. Until he was killed by an attack he never saw coming. When he awakened, he found himself in a nightmare world where human fears manifest into uncurable monsters. Fear of darkness, fire, hunger, silence, cockroaches… every terror births an unstoppable abomination. At the center stands Lilith Domina, the cold and enigmatic head of the Fourth Division in the Public Control Bureau. She wields the power of Control — crimson chains that bind these fear-born monsters and turn them into weapons for the organization. When Kaito meets Lilith, she shows no surprise at his otherworldly arrival. Instead, she smiles coldly and says: "You are different… and I need someone my chains cannot control." Now caught between two worlds, Kaito must face terrifying monsters, train three young hunters burdened with their own fears, and unravel the mystery behind his death. As he gets closer to Lilith, he realizes she hides a far more dangerous ability beneath her visible chains. In the brutal struggle between absolute freedom and absolute control, Kaito must decide: Will he break her chains… or will the Infinite Void consume him first?

Chapter 1 - Rift in the Infinite Void

"Nah… Naah… I wonder:

If you were the strongest in your world, and then you moved to another… would you still be the strongest there? Or would you become just a side character, trampled under the feet of those stronger than you?"

In his original world, Kaito Soren was nicknamed the "Disconnected King" — the absolute strongest, undisputed.

His ability, "Infinite Void," was not merely a defense. It was an existential vacuum that swallowed everything that approached it. It could create a zone of "Absolute Void" where all attacks lost their meaning, where cause was separated from effect, and where any bond, link, or even abstract concept became non-existent. He could make time slow down around him, separate body from soul for seconds that felt like an eternity, and erase any contract imposed upon him.

But this power came at a heavy price: every time he used it, it swallowed a part of his "existential distance." If he overindulged, he might find himself trapped inside a void from which he would never return.

He lived at the peak of power and solitude… until the moment he relaxed his defense for only a fraction of a second.

An attack he did not see coming.

It was not a mistake born of weakness, but pure arrogance. A single moment in which he believed he was above everything.

Then came death.

But death was not the end.

Kaito felt his body being pulled by a terrifying centrifugal force, as if the universe itself was spitting him out like a foreign object. "Infinite Void" tried to resist this pull, opening small void zones in the fabric of reality, but he ultimately slipped through a rift between dimensions that was not supposed to exist.

The impact was violent.

He fell onto a solid floor with a force that made the heavy wooden floorboards crack. When he opened his eyes, the air was saturated with the smell of fear — an organized, cold, precisely calculated fear. He slowly raised his hand and wiped the dust from his face. His dark silver-gray hair fell chaotically over one eye. As for his glowing violet eyes, they began to recalibrate themselves to the laws of this new world.

He was standing in the middle of a grand, dark meeting hall. The ceiling was very high, swallowing the light emitted from the hanging lamps. The walls were covered with heavy classical paintings depicting ancient battles and the fall of terrifying creatures with distorted features. The smell was a stifling mixture of old paper, cold coffee, and the scent of fresh blood hidden behind cheap incense.

"You are standing on my favorite rug… and leaving dust from another world on it."

The voice came calm, feminine, and terrifying in its coldness. It was like a razor blade passing gently over the throat.

Kaito raised his head slowly.

Behind a massive black wooden desk sat a woman. Her hair was a shiny black, falling elegantly with long dark red streaks, and her eyes were a deep emerald green containing thin golden circles that were almost invisible. She wore an elegant black formal suit, and her small smile was calm… but it carried a promise of disaster.

"Kaito Soren," he said in his usual sarcastic voice as he rose with agility, as if the fall had not affected him. "I was the strongest in my world. Now I seem to have fallen into a fancy meeting room. I'm not sure which is worse."

The woman looked at him for a long time, her eyes unblinking.

"I am Lilith Domina, Head of the Fourth Department at the Bureau of General Control."

She smiled a small, cold smile. "This organization is the only apparatus protecting humanity from the monsters that appear daily in our cities. In this world, fear is not just a feeling. It is a power. When a human's fear reaches its peak — whether it is the fear of darkness, fire, hunger, or betrayal — something dark opens within their soul. The human turns into a monster. A monster that can never be cured. No return. No treatment. They become a new being embodying the fear that took control over them."

Lilith stood up slowly and walked two steps toward the large window.

"The Bureau of General Control consists of four main departments. The Fourth Department, which I lead… deals with strategic and long-term control. We use an ability called 'Control.' I can create invisible red chains that bind monsters to contracts, turning them into tools that serve the state instead of destroying it."

You could call it rehabilitation.

Kaito felt a strange energy trying to approach him. They were thin threads trying to weave a bond around him—Lilith's chains. But he did not move a muscle. "Infinite Void" opened within his soul quietly, swallowing the chains before they reached him, separating them from his will.

He smiled a sarcastic smile.

"So, you turn monsters into humans, then bind them with chains, enslave them, and claim you are protecting the world. A convenient method."

Lilith looked at him with her green eyes, in which the golden circles began to appear slightly.

"You are different, Kaito Soren. Your ability does not depend on fear. It is… a void. Something I cannot understand yet. In our world, all power comes from fear. As for you, you came from somewhere else. This makes you dangerous… and useful at the same time."

Outside the window, the city stretched under a gray sky. Modern towers stood beside old buildings, and in the distant streets, unnatural movement could be seen — shadows moving on their own, flames igniting suddenly and then disappearing.

"Welcome to New Tokyo," Lilith said calmly. "A world living on the edge of collapse. Every day, dozens of humans turn into monsters that cannot be saved. And every day, we bind them with chains to maintain order. You are now inside this system… whether you want to or not."

Kaito stood silent for moments, his silver-gray hair shining under the pale lamp light. His violet eyes looked at Lilith with a gaze that contained no fear… but rather a curiosity mixed with deep irony.

"Chains, contracts, monsters from which there is no return… your world seems very interesting."

He smiled a slight smile. "But I wonder… who controls the monsters themselves?"

She smiled a small smile, and the golden circles in her eyes flashed for a short moment before disappearing, and she said:

"Nah… Naah… I wonder:

If you were the strongest in your world, and then you moved to another… would you still be the strongest there? Or would you become just a side character, trampled under the feet of those stronger than you?"

He answered her with a smile full of enthusiasm: "The strongest does not change by the changing of the world… the world is what changes when I arrive at it, whether in my world, or your world, or any other world… whether in the present, the past, or the future… for I am the strongest, undisputed."

Outside the window, crows began to gather on the lamp posts, as if watching the beginning of something big.

Kaito Soren, the former Disconnected King, was no longer in his world.

He had arrived in a new world… a world of absolute fear, where humans become monsters for which there is no cure, and where one woman holds the chains of governance, And a long war had already begun.
