CeCe had honestly expected many things when she arrived at Alpha Damon's territory.
Being welcomed wasn't one of them.
The moment she crossed the border, the wolves stationed nearby froze so hard that one of them nearly tripped over his own feet. Another stared at her stomach so openly that CeCe became self-conscious and instinctively folded her arms.
"What are you looking at?" she snapped.
The warrior immediately looked away. Unfortunately, that didn't stop the others. Their eyes kept drifting toward her stomach. CeCe wanted to disappear.
Honestly, she missed the days when everyone simply hated her. At least hatred was easier to understand than whatever this awkward concern was.
By the time she reached the main territory, news had already spread everywhere.
People were whispering.
Pointing happily at her big tummy. One elderly wolf even smiled at her before walking away.
CeCe almost fainted from shock. "What is wrong with these people?" she muttered.
