The moment Damon said those words, CeCe felt as if somebody had poured a bucket of freezing water over her head.
For several seconds, she simply stared at him without blinking. Her brain genuinely refused to process what she had just heard.
Then she blinked once. "What?"
Damon looked completely relaxed, which honestly annoyed her even more. "The real CeCe wasn't exactly a saint," he said casually.
CeCe continued staring. "A saint?" she repeated weakly.
Damon snorted. "That's a very generous description."
Damon folded his arms and leaned against the wall. "I guessed you didn't see that part in her memories."
CeCe immediately shook her head. "No."
Damon chuckled. For the first time since she met him, he sounded almost normal.
Not angry or trying to kill her. Just... normal. Which was somehow stranger. "I've seen it myself," Damon continued. "Multiple times."
CeCe suddenly wasn't sure she wanted to hear the rest.
