"Enough."
The professor closed the file with a sharp sound.
"If you all have this much energy to argue on the first day, I'll make sure you use it."
The class went quiet.
"You—new student," he pointed at you."And you two—Kim Taehyung, Park Jimin."
A few students reacted immediately.
"Of course…" someone whispered.
"You three will work together for the semester project."
You blinked.
Semester?
Not just one week?
Jimin leaned back. "Sir… respectfully… why us?"
The professor adjusted his glasses."Because you both never take anything seriously. And she looks like she will."
A few laughs.
You looked down, slightly embarrassed.
Taehyung chuckled. "That's unfair. You don't even know her yet."
The professor smirked."Exactly. So behave."
Great.
First day.
And now you were stuck with them.
⏳ After Class
"Okay, listen," Jimin said, turning to you as soon as you stepped out."Don't panic. I'm actually very responsible."
Hana, who had been waiting outside, burst out laughing."Liar."
"You know him?" you asked.
Minji nodded dramatically."Everyone knows him."
"And him?" you glanced at Taehyung.
Hana gave you a look."Even more."
Taehyung, standing a little away, overheard and smirked."Fame has its price."
Jimin rolled his eyes. "Don't act like you hate it."
"I don't," Taehyung replied casually. "I just don't talk about it every five seconds."
"Wow," you muttered. "This is going to be exhausting."
Jimin grinned. "You'll survive."
Taehyung added, "Maybe."
⏳ 4 PM — Campus Café (NOT library this time 😌)
You walked in and spotted them immediately.
Not because they were loud—
but because people around them were.
"Jimin!" someone called.
"Taehyung, are you coming to practice later?"
"Hyung, wait—"
You paused.
So… they weren't just random students.
Jimin waved you over. "Here!"
You walked to the table.
Taehyung was already sitting, sipping something, completely unbothered.
"Sit," Jimin said. "We ordered for you."
"You don't even know what I like."
"I took a risk," he shrugged.
You looked at the drink.
"…This is actually what I like."
He grinned. "See? I'm talented."
Taehyung scoffed lightly. "Lucky guess."
You sat down.
Took a sip.
And for the first time since morning—
you felt a little… normal.
"Okay," you said, pulling out your notebook."Let's talk about the project."
And just like that—
it began.
"You're too serious," Jimin said after five minutes.
"You're not serious enough," you replied.
Taehyung leaned back, watching both of you."This is exactly why professor put us together."
You ignored him.
"Topic?"
"Music industry analysis," Taehyung said.
"Too basic," Jimin countered.
"Too complicated," you added.
They both looked at you.
"…What?" you said.
Taehyung smiled slightly. "She's honest."
Jimin nodded. "I like that."
"Stop discussing me like I'm not here."
They laughed.
Together.
And for a second—
it didn't feel awkward.
⏳ Later
"Wait, what?" you frowned, looking at the paper."This whole section is missing."
Jimin blinked. "That was your part."
"No, it wasn't."
Taehyung leaned forward, checking."She's right. You wrote it down wrong."
Jimin froze.
"…Oh."
You stared at him."You're 'very responsible', right?"
Taehyung smirked.
"Okay, listen," Jimin raised his hands. "First meeting mistake. It happens."
You crossed your arms."So what now?"
Taehyung stood up.
"We fix it. Now."
You blinked. "Now?"
"It's not that hard," he said, already picking up his bag.
Jimin groaned. "Can we at least eat first?"
You looked between them.
One ready to fix things immediately.
One trying to delay but not careless either—just… different.
"…Fine," you sighed."But we're not leaving until this is sorted."
They both paused.
Then—
looked at you.
Jimin smiled. "Scary."
Taehyung nodded slightly. "Good."
You rolled your eyes.
But inside—
something settled.
Not feelings.
Not attraction.
Just this thought—
👉 Maybe… this won't be boring.
