Chapter 739: Assimilating Everything in the Universe, Controller of the Endless Universe!
After Ren's partial introduction and explanation of the incomprehensible dangers lurking within the Ten-Star Doomsday, a heavy, suffocating silence fell over the usually lively Chat Group.
It wasn't just fear; it was the realization of their own insignificance.
[Misaka Mikoto: Hiss! An existence involving the power of a multiverse... can such a thing even exist? It defies all scientific logic I know. Even the Magic Gods in my world... do they reach that scale?]
[Misaki Shokuhou: ...Unimaginable. My Mental Out can't even process the scale. Attempting to control a mind that spans universes would burn my brain to ash instantly.]
A multiverse.
It wasn't just a galaxy or a single universe. It was a theoretical collection of an infinite or finite number of possible universes. It included everything that existed and might exist: all space, time, matter, energy, and the physical laws and constants that described them.
But in Ren's estimation, the Ten-Star Doomsday wasn't just a collection. It represented a sentient hostility spanning infinite realities—a "Megaverse" of despair where physics could be rewritten at a whim.
[Emilia: If we face such an enemy... wouldn't the group members just be a burden? I... I don't want to hold Ren-sama back. Even Puck would be like a speck of dust.]
[Tsunade: I can somewhat understand why it's voluntary selection and pending. A ninja's chakra is useless against collapsing dimensions. We would just be casualties of the shockwaves.]
[March 7th: Emmm, in such a battle, if we're even slightly affected, all of us would die, right? Like ants in a supernova? That's terrifying!]
[Exusiai: Agreed. My guns won't scratch a concept. I think I'll sit this one out and pray to the Law.]
[Ais Wallenstein: Sorry. I probably can't help. My sword cannot cut the void.]
The atmosphere was grim. They realized that despite their growth, the gap between them and the "Administrator" was still an unbridgeable chasm.
[Ren: It doesn't matter. Didn't you see that I'm not worried?]
Ren's message popped up, casual as always, breaking the tension like a stone shattering glass.
[Vivi: That's right! Ren-san even has free time to chat with us here. If the sky was falling, he'd probably hold it up with one hand while drinking tea.]
[Tingyun: Benefactor should have confidence in himself. He is the Administrator, after all. A mere Ten-Star difficulty is nothing to him.]
[Furina: Hmph! He can definitely defeat the enemy with two punches! Lady Furina has foreseen it! (Though I am secretly shaking in my boots...)]
[Ren: It's not that extreme. Mainly because this 'Doomsday Game' doesn't seem to have any intention of actively attacking reality yet; it's still acting according to its internal game rules.]
[Ren: And the people I have inside—my 'players'—are at least capable of easily resolving a Nine-Star Doomsday level of strength. Within the rules, there's nothing to worry about.]
[Ren: Moreover, I'm also keeping an eye on it personally.]
[Ren: As for this Doomsday Companion event, try not to participate. Stay safe. I don't want to have to resurrect anyone today.]
[Nami: Is there still danger after all? Even for you?]
[Rory Takakura: After all, it's a Ten-Star Doomsday. Even a splash damage could erase a timeline. It's better to be cautious.]
[Ren: Mainly because I'm still not sure if this thing has an active attacking consciousness. If a fight breaks out, you might very likely be affected by the conceptual shockwaves.]
[Mikasa Ackerman: Understood. Then we don't need to choose to enter Doomsday Companion. We will wait for your return.]
[Seitenshi: It's better not to cause trouble. We pray for your victory, Administrator.]
[Ch'en: Being a hindrance is meaningless. Good luck. Kick its ass.]
[Shiroyasha: Hah! You cowards! We have to go see! This is the thrill of a lifetime! How can I, the White Night King, miss such a spectacle?!]
[Tokisaki Kurumi: Tsk, as expected of Shiroyasha-san~ Always seeking chaos. Ara ara, don't get eaten.]
[Ren: If you want to come, then come. I can protect one person easily enough.]
[Shiroyasha: Tch, at most, it's just death. And I've lived long enough! Open the gate!]
...
Shiroyasha indeed came as she said she would.
The air in Ren's living room suddenly distorted. A wave of heat, reminiscent of a summer noon sun, washed over the room before condensing into a petite figure.
Dressed in her signature kimono, the Demon Lord of the White Night stepped out of the void, fanning herself with a distinct air of arrogance and excitement.
Her appearance immediately caught the attention of the two new guests, Canary and Leticia.
"Shiroyasha-sama?!" Leticia gasped, bowing instinctively.
"Oh my?"
Shiroyasha blinked, her golden eyes scanning the room. Seeing Leticia, she wasn't surprised. After all, she was the one who had brokered the deal to give the Vampire King to Ren.
But upon seeing the golden-haired strategist standing beside her—alive, breathing, and radiating mana—Shiroyasha's expression froze. Her fan snapped shut with a crisp clack.
Canary nodded gently to her, a knowing, elegant smile on her lips. "It's been a while, White Night King. You haven't changed a bit."
Shiroyasha looked at Ren with a complex expression, a mix of awe, disbelief, and a hint of wariness.
"I didn't expect you to actually revive her," she murmured, her voice losing its usual bravado. "To pull a soul back that had been claimed by the laws of Hakoniwa... and so quickly."
Ren smiled faintly, pouring a cup of tea as if he hadn't just defied the laws of life and death. "Reviving someone is very simple for me. But remember, Shiroyasha, she no longer belongs to the jurisdiction of Little Garden. She belongs to me."
"Tch. It's not like I can snatch her away from you," Shiroyasha grumbled, sitting down on the sofa and crossing her legs. "I just wonder what the Halloween Queen will do when she finds out. That woman might flip the entire Little Garden upside down in a fit of jealousy."
The Halloween Queen.
The atmosphere in the room grew heavy at the mention of that name.
She was one of Hakoniwa's "Three Problem Children," alongside Shiroyasha herself and the Demon Star Algol.
She was the Stellar Spirit of Gold and Boundaries. An existence that transcended the Almighty Domain in terms of raw power, even if her Authority hadn't fully reached it—making her a terrifying Three-Digit Transcender who stood at the apex of the Celtic pantheon.
She possessed six Sun Authorities. In the history of Little Garden, the number of Sun Authorities she held was second only to the White Night King herself. In the past, during the Second Sun Authority War, she became the entity with the most Sun Authorities simply because the White Night King voluntarily gave up most of hers to maintain the balance of the world.
Her personality was capricious, chaotic, and utterly domineering. She was the deification of the Halloween festival itself, the manager of the sun's movement from the autumnal equinox to the winter solstice.
Although she was a deified festival, she was not a true god. She was a Stellar Spirit born from the sun, existing in the boundary between life and death.
And Canary, in a sense, could be considered a disciple or a favored child of the Halloween Queen.
Shiroyasha knew very well that probably no one valued Canary more than that chaotic Queen. The Queen had made moves after the fall of Arcadia to preserve what she could, but even she couldn't reverse absolute death. Until now.
"Perhaps you can reveal the news to her," Ren suggested, a mischievous, predatory glint in his eyes. "Tell her Canary is here. Bring her to see me. I'm sure she'd be... interested."
"..."
Shiroyasha glared at him. The temperature in the room spiked, the tatami mats smelling faintly of scorched grass.
"Do you think I'm a fool? Once she's in your world, won't she be at your mercy? You just want to collect another Problem Child for your collection, don't you? You greedy monster."
"Tsk. You saw through me." Ren shrugged, unbothered.
"Alright, hurry up and let me experience what that Doomsday Game is like. Stop trying to expand your harem for five minutes."
Ren secretly regretted not provoking her successfully. Luring the Halloween Queen over would have been fun. She was a top-tier beauty and a powerful asset, after all.
"Fine. Since you're so eager to die—I mean, see it—let's go. You all just wait here for me to return."
Ren stood up. He waved his hand, and reality tore open.
It wasn't a portal. It was a tear in the fabric of the dimension, revealing not darkness, but a swirling data stream of starlight and binary code.
After a simple arrangement, Ren led Shiroyasha into the tear.
Whoosh.
The sensation of gravity vanished instantly.
A vast, infinite expanse of starry sky replaced the living room ceiling.
Their figures stood in the void. Nebulas swirled around them in colors that the human eye couldn't perceive, and galaxies spun like tops in the distance. The silence was absolute, heavy, and crushing.
As soon as they entered the Doomsday Game dimension, a holographic prompt appeared in their minds, burning with golden letters that spanned lightyears.
[The Sixth Doomsday Game has finished loading!]
[Map: Endless Universe!]
[Players: 35!]
[Game Objective: Assimilate all universes and become the Controller of the Endless Universe!]
[Failure Penalty: Total Existential Erasure (World Destruction)!]
[Game Start!]
"Hmm? Assimilate all universes? Controller of the Endless Universe?"
Shiroyasha floated in the vacuum, her kimono fluttering in the ethereal wind of the cosmos. She looked at the text floating in space and was utterly surprised.
"Does such a game really exist? To become the victor and control the multiverse... that's truly exaggerated. Even the Truth of the Universe in Hakoniwa doesn't claim such absolute control over the Endless."
"Heh. If it's the Doomsday Game, then it might actually be able to achieve that. The stakes are always absolute. It creates reality as it sees fit."
Ren's thought stirred the data stream surrounding them. He raised his hand.
"Come forth."
Flash! Flash! Flash!
Space fractured like shattered glass. From the shards of light, thirty-five silhouettes emerged, surrounding Ren like a praetorian guard of goddesses.
The pressure in the void skyrocketed.
First to emerge was Esdeath. The Ice General of the Empire stood tall, her white uniform pristine. A terrifying chill radiated from her, freezing the very cosmic dust around her into diamond-like crystals. Her blue eyes scanned the nebula with the hunger of a predator.
Next was Raiden Ei. The Electro Archon held the Musou Isshin, purple lightning crackling around her form, illuminating the dark void. Her presence was heavy, eternal, and immutable.
Morgan Le Fay, the Witch Queen, floated with an aura of dark majesty, her black dress merging with the shadows of space. Scathach, the Queen of the Land of Shadows, spun her twin spears, her crimson eyes burning with the thrill of a new battlefield.
Artoria Pendragon (Ria), wielded Excalibur, the golden light of the holy sword acting as a beacon in the darkness.
Konomi Fujimiya, Yae Miko, Bismarck, Enterprise... the list went on.
Thirty-five distinct, overwhelming auras. Thirty-five beings who had reached the pinnacle of their respective worlds, now enhanced by Ren's power and the System.
"Ren!"
Seeing him, all the girls breathed a sigh of relief. The tension of being transported to a strange dimension melted away instantly.
"Ren-sama!"
"Darling! Is it time for war?"
"Master, your orders?"
"Emmm..."
Shiroyasha floated nearby, her jaw slightly slack. She looked at the assembly of women.
"I feel like even the Gods of Hakoniwa don't enjoy themselves as much as you do."
These beautiful women... each one had an outstanding temperament and a powerful aura. Some felt like Demon Lords, others like Goddesses of War, others like Spirits of Nature.
And every single pair of eyes was overflowing with love and devotion for Ren. It wasn't just affection; it was fanaticism.
It made Shiroyasha's scalp tingle.
Just imagine putting this group, unrestrained by Hakoniwa's complex rules and Gift Games, into the Little Garden...
Hiss.
She didn't even dare to imagine the chaos.
If Ren unleashed this legion upon the Little Garden, who could stop them?
Aside from the non-existent One-Digit existences (the absolute creators), she didn't believe any person, any god, or any life form in the Little Garden could prevent Ren and his harem from crushing it flat.
"We are here," Esdeath said, stepping forward on an invisible platform of ice. "What is the target? A planet? A galaxy? Or God?"
Before Ren could answer.
Rumble...
The universe began to shake and tremble. The stars flickered violently.
The Doomsday Game had reacted to the two "illegal" entrants—Ren and Shiroyasha—who were outside its rules and not invited. The defense mechanism of the Endless Universe was activating, realizing that a virus named "Ren" had just injected thirty-five catastrophic variables into its code.
