"A game?"
The word slipped from her lips as if it did not belong to reality.
"What game are you talking about?"
No one answered.
The strange man only watched her, while Louis stood in silence, as if he were fighting something inside himself.
Then suddenly…
The door behind her slammed shut.
The sound echoed like a strike.
She shivered.
"What are you doing?!"
Louis walked toward her slowly, his eyes filled with clear tension.
"Listen carefully… what I'm about to tell you could save your life."
She stepped back. "You scared me…"
"That was the point."
She froze.
"There are people looking for me… ever since I disappeared."
"Why?"
He remained silent for a few seconds, then said: "Because I saw something… something I was never supposed to see."
A chill ran down her spine.
"What did you see?"
Before he could answer…
The lights went out.
The room was swallowed by darkness.
She screamed: "What's happening?!"
And at that exact moment…
A sound exploded from outside.
Gunfire.
