Jay's Pov
I reached my apartment and settled down in a couch after I freshened up and started thinking how my world changed in 24 hours, I was about to loose my company and entered into a partnership, the planned to get my ex back and the reason behind all of this is Keifer. I let out a chuckle thinking about today's happenings, That's when I received a text from him saying,
Keifer: "Sleep well, cause we have an important task tomorrow"
Jay: "Done, you too"
I went to sleep. The next morning I woke up and got ready and I did put in a little extra effort to look good, I was getting when I received a text from him saying, "On my way" but it was a little early but still I was ready so no problem in that.
I finished getting ready and went down to realise that he was already waiting for me and he was leaning in the car and looking into his phone, and he was looking good in the full black blazer with shades. Probably to impress her.
I went towards him, he looked up from his phone and saw me,
Jay: "How long were you waiting?"
Keifer: "Just a few minutes"
Jay: "You could have called"
he just shrugged and said, "I came early so I don't mind"
Wow I thought in my mind,
Then he looked at me and said,
Keifer: "You look nice"
Jay: "Are you trying to compliment me?"
Keifer: "Well, yeah but"
Jay: "You can do better and we have to work on your complimenting and flirting skills I guess and by the way you do look good too"
Keifer: "Someone is developing a crush already"
Jay: "Seriously that is what you heard"
Keifer: "Always focus on the positive things"
he opened the door for me and I got into the car, and so did he
Jay: "So why are you early?"
Keifer: "We still have a few things to discuss"
Jay: "Like?"
Keifer: "How did we meet? and how are we going to be obvious"
Jay: "Well in case of meeting we can go with the original one, it is more believable and we can steel glances at each other and blush at accidental touch "
Keifer: "That seems like a downplay don't you think?"
Jay: "Well we can start slowly so it has more impact and believable and you can few things if you want but don't over do it"
Keifer: "Yes ma'am, Also we have to act completely nonchalant about their relationship"
I nodded and said, "And by the way I did not say you are the new partner that is joining I just said that there will be new partner"
Keifer: "Well they are in it for a surprise" he said with a smirk.
I just let out a little laugh and we reached the place and we were a little early, so we settled in our place and waited for them.
It was almost time for the scheduled meeting,
Keifer: "I think I should make an entrance"
Jay: "What?"
Keifer: "Like I want them to be shocked when they walk in"
I chuckled and said" Go" and nodded my head thinking about his behaviour,
By the time David and Freya came hand in hand, I rolled my eyes before they could see me,
David and Freya : "Hello Jay"
Jay: "Hello guys"
and they settled down,
David: "Can we start?"
Jay: "One minute, my partner must here any minute like I said on the phone"
They nodded, and just like that Keifer made his entrance, I will admit it was cool and I could see the change in expression in their faces,
Freya: "Keifer"
Keifer: "Freya it is your wedding" he asked in a nonchalant manner and surprised manner,
Freya: "Yeah, what are you doing here?"
Jay: "He is our new investor"
David and Freya : "ohh"
Jay: "Do you have any problem guys?" I asked as if I was unaware the situation,
David: "Oh its nothing it just that they used to date"
While Freya gave him a glare when he said that, while Keifer and I secretly laughed,
Jay: "Are you guys comfortable with arrangement? you know?" I asked pointing at all of us,
David cleared his throat before speaking, "Yeah, we don't mind, right babe?" he asked looking at her while I rolled my eyes without them noticing,
Freya: "Yes babe, If you don't mind how did you both get together for work"
He replied before I could
Keifer: "She was talk of the town in this business and I wanted to meet her and actually wanted to buy her company, but came impressed when I met her for the first time because she was fierce and I kept going behind her then finally she agreed" He said everything looking at me like I am something mesmerising and he didn't care about their existence and I looked at him, if I didn't this was a plan I would have totally believed him and I also kept looking at him,
and we only came back to the world when they cleared their throats and we could see they were little annoyed
Jay: "Sorry"
Freya: "You both don't mind doing this right? you know ?"
Keifer: "Of course, It was in the past and it doesn't matter, we have to look forward to the future right " he said looking at me with a smile which I returned and he brushed our hands a little to which I blushed.
David again cleared his throat,
David: "So shall we start discussing the details"
