Share the blessings and share the burdens; this is how one should treat good friends, and it should be the same for Neighbors.Watching TV in a Haunted House at 3 AM is such an exciting activity that enjoying it all by himself would be a total waste, so Han Fei decided to invite his Neighbors to join him.Starting today, he wanted to change his reclusive personality and become a loyal and enthusiastic person. While his eyes remained fixed on the television, Han Fei's body began to move slowly. In reality, the moment that hand appeared behind him, Han Fei had decided to take a gamble.Compared to the ghost that had suddenly appeared, the Neighbor outside the door reeking of blood actually felt acceptable to him.Slowly adjusting his posture, Han Fei's brain worked feverishly as he came up with several plans. The Neighbor from the Sixth Floor was hiding just outside the door; to avoid being spotted by the peephole, that person was curled up in a blind spot.Han Fei felt that if he suddenly opened the door, given the madness the Sixth Floor Neighbor had displayed, the other party might not even bother to identify who it was before launching an attack. Therefore, if he wanted to make the ghost in the Haunted House shift its hostility, he would have to let the ghost go out first. The plan in his mind was perfect, but once he actually started implementing it, Han Fei realized the difficulty was immense. His body was submerged in darkness, the icy aura seeping into every nerve, and even the slightest movement felt terrifying. The cold light emitted from the TV screen was distorted. Inside the screen, the disfigured little figure broke free time and again, only to be caught once more. No one knew who was grabbing it, only that it could never escape. The little figure's silent scream seemed to portend something; it struggled in vain, dragged by invisible hands into the black house. It tried every possible method, using various items in the room to resist. It could always narrowly escape the room, but every time it left that black house, a part of its body would be missing. The damage to the little figure's body became increasingly severe, and its speed kept slowing down. By the time it escaped the black room for the seventh time, it seemed to already know its own end. This time, it didn't wait for those invisible hands to come; halfway through its run, it turned its head to look behind. The scene shifted, and a monster pieced together from different human bodies appeared on the TV screen, following the disfigured little figure. The pieced-together arm turned into black smoke, grabbed the little figure, and dragged it back into that black house once again. Not long after, the Room Door opened, and the little figure, now missing another part of its body, walked out. This time, the little figure did not try to run again. It stopped in despair at the entrance of the black room, stared into the pitch-black doorway, and then slowly walked inside. For the first time, the animation shifted to the interior of the black room. Han Fei held his breath; he also wanted to know what was inside that room, which was like a Nightmare. The cruel scenes he imagined did not appear. The interior of the black room looked very ordinary: a shoe cabinet was placed by the entrance, the floor was slightly cracked, black-red stains could occasionally be seen on the walls, and an old digital clock displayed the time as 3:15."This room layout..."In the center of the medium-sized Living Room sat a sofa, and the TV in front of the sofa seemed to be playing something. The little figure was dead inside; it didn't try to run again and sat on the sofa in despair. The television turned on, and the disfigured little figure stared at the TV screen, as if it were staring at Han Fei outside the screen. His heart skipped a beat. Han Fei was absolutely certain that the black room in the animation, which was like a Nightmare, was the very room he was currently in!The little figure in the animation watched the TV silently. Suddenly, a face poked out from the Bedroom behind it, followed by a neck and a body; the monster, pieced together from human bodies, seemed to have grown larger. The monster walked behind the little figure's sofa, placed one of its hands on the little figure's left shoulder, and then placed its other hand on the little figure's right shoulder. The icy sensation made goosebumps rise on Han Fei's neck, and his right shoulder suddenly sank.Oh no!The little figure in the animation seemed to be Han Fei himself, and that monster pieced together from human bodies seemed to be standing right behind him. With both shoulders grabbed, the despair of the little figure in the animation seemed to be transmitted to Han Fei.Escaping in vain time after time, his body constantly missing parts—this was an inescapable Nightmare. The little figure in the animation gave up struggling. The body of the monster behind it gradually cracked open, revealing the faces hidden within. The chilling sound of skin tearing and bones dislocating rang out behind Han Fei. His situation was the same as the little figure in the animation; the only difference was that the little figure in the animation had already given up, while Han Fei was currently staring firmly at the monster in the cartoon, staring at the few human faces beneath the monster's ugly exterior. Before logging into the game, he had looked up information on the Human Body Puzzle Case and seen photos of all the victims. He discovered that the human faces inside the monster's body were those very victims, including Wei Youfu and his wife, A Mei.With his shoulders locked tight and so tense he couldn't breathe, Han Fei felt the chill radiating from his shoulders; a tremendous force wanted to drag him away.In the TV animation, the little figure's body was torn apart, and blood seeped out from the TV screen. The already eerie room underwent another change.Han Fei also felt the pain coming from his shoulders; he had never been this close to death. His body was gripped tightly by those hands, unable to break free. The little figure in the TV had already been dismembered; this seemed to be Han Fei's final fate.Under the immense pressure of death, Han Fei made a final attempt."You will kill me; I'm not surprised at all.""It's just, if it's at all possible, could you let me hear my wife's voice one more time? She is waiting for me to come home; I once promised to hold a wedding ceremony for her."Gritting his teeth, his eyes already moist, at this final moment of life and death, the man before him did not care about his own life, but instead thought of that promise to his wife. The simple words seemed to contain some kind of power, and those pale arms pieced together from human bodies hesitated."I work desperately hard, always working overtime until the early hours, but I don't feel tired because I know the lights are still on at home.""I'm really not afraid of dying; I'm afraid that she will keep waiting for me. Can you let me say goodbye to her?"Suppressed tears, red and swollen eyes—that ordinary face now bore a sense of persistence. In the TV animation, the two human faces inside the monster's body that looked very much like Wei Youfu and A Mei slowly returned to normal expressions. Their hostility diminished, and they gazed at Han Fei, as if, for a moment, they saw themselves. The monster stopped in place; the seven human faces within its body seemed to have developed a disagreement.Han Fei remained sitting on the sofa from beginning to end; he didn't dare to move recklessly, his eyes fixed on the TV.The words just now were spoken by Han Fei from Wei Youfu's perspective. Back then, no one gave Wei Youfu a chance, but now, the power of choice was in Wei Youfu's hands.Time ticked by, second by second. The human faces inside the monster's body became increasingly agitated, but just as they were about to attack Han Fei again, the seemingly honest and simple Wei Youfu suddenly went berserk and bit into the human face next to him.The room seemed to tremble, the pair of legs behind the TV cabinet quickly disappeared, and something seemed to have happened behind Han Fei.Suppressing his curiosity, Han Fei continued to stare at the TV, only his hands were tightly clasped together.Soon, the half-hour mark arrived, and the oppressive feeling in the room gradually faded away."Player No. 0000, please note!
