Chapter 72 - A Void's Internal and a King's Infernal

Inside the Sky-Fray, there was no up or down, no cold or heat—only the suffocating weight of *possibility*. Clevatess drifted through a sea of unformed matter, his indigo chains lashing out at the giant, gelatinous optic nerves that connected the Sea of Eyes. Here, the King was no longer a man; he was a glitch in the void's perfect silence.

Every swing of his spear-needle left a trail of "Stained Reality" in the air, a permanent scar of existence that the Void could not heal.

"You are a thread that refused to be cut," a billion voices echoed at once, the sound vibrating through Clevatess's very marrow. "But every thread has an end. We will simply unspool you until there is nothing left of the man called Clevatess."

The King laughed, a harsh, metallic sound that sent ripples through the darkness. "I stopped being a man when the Queen threw me into the Grave-Sea. I am the iron in the blood. I am the knot that won't give way."

He wrapped a chain around a nearby nerve-cluster and pulled himself deeper into the throat of the universe. He could see the core now—a massive, rotating spindle of white light that was responsible for the "deletion" beams. It was the Loom of the Void, the anti-thesis to everything he had built.

Back in the Citadel, Alicia looked up to see the indigo lightning intensifying. The obsidian wall she had built was beginning to pulse with a life of its own, growing roots deep into the earth. But the sky wasn't just dark anymore; it was beginning to reflect the battle above. Every time Clevatess struck a nerve, the clouds bled violet.

"He's hitting them where it hurts," Nelluru said, her eyes wide as she gripped her lime-green blade. "But look at the swarm!"

The Void-Crawlers, sensing their source was under attack, began a desperate, frenzied assault on the obsidian walls. They weren't just biting; they were dissolving themselves against the stone, trying to use their own non-existence to erode the "Iron Memory."
