Chapter 67 - Hallo.

Dizziness filled Drew's psyche. With him stumbling, and failing all over the place. Bhyngaux watched, not really knowing what to do in this situation. He just watched, as Drew slowly fell to the floor, and lost consciousness. As the world went dark, he just hoped that it wouldn't be that dream again.

Lo and behold, it was!

Drew opened his eyes, to see that he was right outside a bar. The lights were stingy, and the air had a light fog around it. The outside of the bar looked to be really old, with the name: Die Verlierer auspeitschen. Right above the slightly opened front door. This place was the worst thing that Drew could've ever seen, he was so pissed. He stomped his feet, all the way through the empty parking lot, and into the bar. The door swings farther open, as he finally gets to take a peek inside.

There was no one inside, or anywhere for that matter. Even with the whole room having this feeling, that it should be chalked full of weirdos. This just gave Drew the heebie-jeebies even more. He looked around the place, and saw a single mystery drink at the isle. He slowly creeps up to it, as well as looks around, just in case whoever it is doesn't jump scare him. A single light flickered above.

He dusts off his butt, and places it onto the stand that was set up perfectly for him. He takes a good look at the drink laid out in front of him, and decides: fuck it! Why not! Before giving the thing a big gulp. It went down fine enough, kind of stinging the inside of his throat, before leaving a nice aftertaste that kind of reminded him of a pineapple.

"It's pretty good, ain't it." Drew's eyebrows lower, as he looks to his right, and sees that the thing has arrived. Now with its very own mustache, combed back hair, a plaid shit with jeans, and a beer in hand. They gave him a warm look, even though their face was still fuzzy. It wasn't as bad as the last visit was though. The whole thing is eerie and creepy, but also a little bit warm and inviting. Like these two feelings were clashing with each other while he sat down.

"I guess… what do you want, Monster…?" Drew finally gave the thing a name, which I will be using until it's referred to by anything else.

"I just feel like talkin'. You seem pretty on edge right now imma be honest…" Monster gave a light chuckle, before taking another sip of their beer. Drew wondered where the beer even went for Monster.

"Oh! You fucking think?!" Drew gripped his drink just a little bit tighter. "I just got imprisoned for something I didn't do, I watched someone get hanged, I had someone get their neck sliced off, I witnessed the death of hundreds of innocent people, and I watched a guy kill himself by stabbing himself in the throat. So yes! I'm probably on fucking edge right now!" He took an aggressive sip this time.

Monster chuckled a little bit to themself. "Haha! I know, that shit was grizzly!" They said.

The glass broke within Drew's hands. "Do you show any compassion…?" He turned to face Monster directly. "Why in the HELL. Would I want you to just sit here and laugh at my suffering?!"

The chuckling stopped, and Monster put down their beer, and too turned to look at Drew. "Listen man, I've already told you what you need to do! Just relax, and at least fake it for everyone else—"

"Then why do I keep ending up here?" Drew questioned. "I never want to see this place again, but CLEARLY your advice ain't working, 'cause I keep winding up right back here, with only you to keep me COMPANY!" The drink was getting flicked around, by Drew's sporadic hand movements.

"It's because you never accepted it. In your soul…" They said, "You can't just nod your head every time to get it over with, just so that you can never truly accept your destiny…" Drew was slowly starting to get it; he didn't want to though. "Your role in this earth is protecting everyone you care about till the day you die. If you can't fulfill your purpose to the best of your ability, then there's no point in saying you will…" Drew wasn't really in the best mood for someone, or something, to be talking about "destiny" and "role" ; he had heard enough of that from others already.

"Well… what if I want to do something else with my life? What if that's not what I want to be known as? What if I want to be a normal person, who isn't just a stereotype? Have you EVER thought about that before…?" Drew interrogated.

"I wouldn't be pushing it so hard, if it isn't what you wanted for yourself…" Monster reminded him. "Your destiny isn't my doing, and it sure as hell ain't set in stone for anyone. You have to want something for it to be your destiny. Not the other way 'round" Monster put down their own beer again, after taking one big gulp down the hatch.

Drew looked back at his own hands, as they were shaking violently. "I-I know… it's just. Why does this stupid shit always happen to me and the people I care about…?" He laid his head onto the table.

"If you put yourself into danger, what do you expect…?" The Monster reasoned. "Plus, maybe if you stopped holding back, and putting yourself front and centre, you would accomplish way more of what you want this time around…" They said, "I know that Lukas kid is not stronger than you. Not even close!" they gave him a little chuckle to lighten the mood for once. Drew looks back up, and gives the fakest smile known to humankind, as get finally gets up from his stool after what felt like forever.

"Alright, I guess I'll follow your shitty advice, one last time; but so help me god, if it doesn't work I'm beating the living shit out of you in this weird place…!" Drew warns somewhat playfully, with a little bit of seriousness in his voice. Monster watches as he walks back towards the ajar door, slowly takes everything in, and leaves through said door.

The place grows quiet once again, with Drew now fully disappeared. Monster's smile reverts back into their monotone face. While morphing back into their original form. They say: "yeah… swear to me… huh…" before getting up themself, and going back into the room in the back.

Who knew something like this, could be so helpful…
